This word call Trust is common everywhere and specially when discussion are going on within the group of people or individual.

In our work or business place, even in our society where we gather, Trust is always the key word. In the work where we employed , trust is the key to success.

So the contest topic for this engagement is Broken Trust. The contest tips will helping to.explain more about trust.

What do you think the word trust means?

The word can be defined to mean a display of loyalty or confidence in a person. It can also be said to mean belief in a person capability or what the person can do.

Sorry to say the more trust are being mentioned in our environment the more he lost the value because a lot of people has been abuse trust to the extent that he died in the life of some people.

A lot of people doesn't practice trust. I once did business with a partner with the trust to share the profit when the business matured, but the man betrayed the trust.

Presently in your country, do the citizens feel safe to trust one another? If not why? And if yes why?

The truth about it is that, it is usually very very difficult to trust someone in my country. Why? Because, even the government cannot be trusted. So when people in higher positions cannot be trusted, what do we expect from those they are ruling over?

For instance during political campaigns in my country some of our leaders promise us a lot of things they will do but at the end they don't do it .
This is one of the reasons why people in my country can't be trusted.

Have you had any experience where your trust in someone was broken? Or such a scenario from a Friend?

On one occasion , a young man came to me and beg me to buy a tricycle for him to use it do transportation business for me . He said he just finished driving school that I should trust him he will be paying me weekly . I asked him can I trust you?. He said yes.

I bought the tricycle for him to be paying me weekly but after he paid for two weeks he did not pay again. He betrayed the trust have for him.

Can you suggest ways to mend broken trust?

Rebuilding trust takes time and effort. Here are some suggestions:

1. Acknowledge the breach: Admit the wrongdoing or mistake openly and honestly.

2. Apologize sincerely: Express remorse for the hurt caused and take responsibility for your actions.

3. Listen actively: Allow the other person to express their feelings and concerns without interruption.

4. Be transparent: Share information openly and honestly to rebuild transparency and trust.

5. Demonstrate commitment: Show through consistent actions that you are dedicated to rebuilding trust.

6. Set boundaries: Establish clear boundaries to prevent future breaches and rebuild a sense of safety.

7. Communicate effectively: Maintain open and honest communication to address concerns and resolve issues.

8. Practice empathy: We should try to understand the other person's perspective and feelings.

9. Give it time: Rebuilding trust is a gradual process, so be patient and persistent in your efforts.

10. Seek professional help: Consider counseling or therapy to work through trust issues with the help of a trained professional.
