Ornamental plants and it uses
Good day my dear steemians this is your favorite blogger @bessie2023, today I will love to write on the topic ornamental plants and it uses. Ornamental plants here can be defined as plant that are being grown mainly to beautify the environment, and make it look beautiful. The have colourful flowers which make our surrounding beautiful. Example of our ornamental plants are the rose, hibiscus, lily, aloe-vera queen of night and others. Horticulture is the aspect of agriculture that deals with the study of planting ornamental plants (flowers).
Uses of Ornamental plants
- They make our environment beautiful
- They are used in making dyes
- They are also used in making perfumes
- The make our air around us to be fresh and pleasant.
Ornamental plants are propagated or grown through the seed that is being germinated or through the stems. They are being taken care of in the nursery before they are transplanted. Adequate shade must be provided for the plant while they are still in the nursery. Rasing ornamental plants involves the following steps. Some of the following steps are; site location, land clearing, land preparation, transplanting. Ornamental plants can be used to make the surrounding beautiful. Some ornamental plants bring snake to the surrounding through this plant. We take care of our ornamental plants through watering the plants, weeding, mulching, pruning and trimming, and adding of small manure or fertilizers.
