I was drawn to this contest and I'm participating because it is timely to my country right now.
This contest came at the very right time because at the point in my country, there is an ongoing preparation for the forth coming election scheduled to hold next year, 2023. The electoral parties have done their primaries and their presidential candidate has been chosen. Citizens of Nigeria are also getting ready by obtaining their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

ANALYZING THE CURRENT CONDITION OF NIGERIA

Nigeria is a country located at the western part of Africa. It has 36 states and a Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Nigeria is blessed with so many mineral resources, such as coal, limestone, tin, salt, gold and even crude oil.
Nigeria is nicknamed "Giant of Africa", but with the current condition of my country, we are the shadow of that name. The Giant of Africa seems to be fast in slumber. Nigeria currently is going through so many mishaps. I will mention but a few

A Weakening Economy
Nigeria used to have one of the strongest economy in Africa, but as we speak, we experience daily increase in everything. The inflation rate in Nigeria has become unbearable for her citizens. A bag of water that was 80 Naira in 2021 is now sold for 250 Naira, that is more than 100% increase. Transportation is now because a luxury as fuel and diesel keeps increasing in price. Cooking gas was 300 Naira per Kilogram, it is now 800 Naira and many to complain about.

Bad Governance
This is another major condition in Nigeria. Over the years, we have had cases of bad governance, but currently, it has gone worse. Bad governance does not only means bad leader, it can be inefficient leadership, unstructured leadership as well as misuse of power. Currently, Nigeria is suffering from the pain caused by bad governance

Police Brutality
Earlier year back, there was a popular saying in Nigeria "police is your friend", then we would go to the police for safety if we get harmed or feel we are about to be harmed, but in this present day, we get harmed by the police itself.
In October 2020, citizens of Nigeria held a peaceful protest to stop police brutality and these peaceful protesters were shot at causing the death of some.

Cybercrime

In Nigeria today, we get alarming rate of Cybercrime. In 2020, the FBI ranked Nigeria the 16th most affected country of internet crime. The internet Crime Report said that Nigeria has recorded an alarming rate of Cybercrime complaints. This has brought a very bad name to the country and her citizens because every young and successful person is misquoted to be an internet fraudster.

WHY I SHOULD BE SUITABLE FOR THE POSITION OF A LEADER

Leading a country is bo doubt a very big one, it's not a small responsibility. I have been a leader in smaller organizations and I have led well. Here are some reasons I will make a good leader in Nigeria

Transparency
One of the virtues Nigeria should look out for in a prospective leader is transparency especially in the area of finance. I am a transparent and sincere person. I don't exaggerate or understate. This virtue makes me a good leader

Innovative
One of the beautiful things about a leader is how innovative and creative he/she is. A country that will move forward is a country led by innovative leaders. I am an innovative person. I believe there are different means to getting a particular job done.

Persistent and Resilient
I as a persistent leader will always try again even when the previous plan fails until the goal is achieved. I have a positive and "no quitting" mentality. I will make a good leader because I will persist until my country is better. I believe Persistence Wearies Resistance.

Flexibility In Leadership
It might interest you to know that Nigeria has not amended the constitution since 1999. This is because there's no flexibility in leadership. I am flexible to change and modify my leadership style to suit the people I am a leading, after all, Nigeria is a democratic country, it should be government for the people, by the people and of the people. The people have the final say in decision-making. I as a flexible leader will be open to good suggestions, incorporate new ideas and adapt to changes that comes as well in order to achieve Nigeria as a better society.

Teamwork
I love teamwork. I believe it makes the work easier and goals gotten faster I will employ teamwork in leadership. My leadership will not be a one-man show. Everybody will contribute to the success and growth of Nigeria.

I believe with this attribute of mine, Nigeria will be better if I am made president

IDENTIFY THE MOST PRESSING PROBLEM THAT YOUR CITIZENS ARE FACING AND PROFFER SOLUTION

My country Nigeria has so many pressing problems that we are facing, but going to mention the most pressing need of Nigeria.
Insecurity, poor health center, failed education sector.

Insecurity
Insecurity is now a very rampant vice in Nigeria. Virtually every Nigerian has been affected in one way or the other due to the lack of security in the country. We go head out of our homes everyday with prayers in our hearts that we return safely. On daily basis, there is a fresh news of killings, kidnapping and theft been

Solution to the Insecurity
Employment and Empowerment
I believe if the perpetrators of these insecurity issue have a job that out food on their tables and takes care of themselves and families, they won't be on the highway robbing and killing for money
Equipped and Effective Security Forces
The number of insecurity cases will be reduced to the nearest minimum if Nigeria has effective and equipped security force. The security forces like POLICE should be trained properly as well.
•Implanting surveillance cameras on startegic places in Nigeria is another way of monitoring the security state of the country
•Lastly, the emergency number (112) should be well functional so people who feel they are about to be harmed can reach out to the security forces in time

Poor Health Sector
A country where the health sector is suffering is a country that won't make economical progress, because we need good health to work and earn money. Our health sector in Nigeria suffers unequipped hospitals, costly and overcharged health care in even our government hospitals. Water, air and land pollution are also a major factor damaging our health sector.

Solutions to poor health sector
•Effective Environmental Sanitation will be taken seriously in every corner of the country. There will be severe punishment for anyone who pollutes the land, air and water. If this is done, many diseases like Malaria will be reduced.
•Provision of drugs to hospitals in Nigeria at a free or very affordable price. Also, standard equipments should be in every government hospital so people don't need to fly to other countries to get treated.
•Immunization and free routine checkups will be readily accessible to people in the rural area.

Failed Educational System
There is an ongoing strike for some Nigerian Universities for more than 4 months now, this is because the university staffs have not been paid for so many months. This is just to reveal how bad the Nigerian educational system is. Also, some school in Nigeria are not government approved and some courses in the Nigerian Universities are not accredited. To add to this list of failed education sector is that some children do not have access to quality education, some have not been to the fall walls of a school before. This is very bad because an uniformed nation is a deformed nation

Solutions to the failing education sector
•Every government school Must be totally free from the basic to tertiary institution. This will enable even the low background and unprivileged children go to school
•Every staff in a government owned school will be paid in full on or before the 25th of every month and will be giving bi-annual incentives and allowance for their commitment to the country's education
•Digital learning aids like computers, projectors will be used in schools. School will be fully equipped with these gadgets for better learning and assimilation

MY INNOVATIONS IF I AM MADE PRESIDENT

If I am made president of Nigeria, there are few innovations I would like to put in place

Effective Emergency Number
Nigeria has an emergency number , 112, that her citizens should call when they are in trouble or any case of emergency, but funny enough, this emergency number isn't effective. This is unlike the US emergency number, 911 that is very fast and effective. If I am made president, I will make the Nigeria emergency number very effective and fast as well

Reducing Importation Rate
In Nigeria, we don't manufacture, we are always on the importing side. We import even food we eat meanwhile we have one of the best quality soils. Even even import as little as toothpick and match box. This important rate is so detrimental to our country economy. In my leadership, we will reduce Importation and increase manufacturing.

Skill Learning in High school
Not everyone must be a doctor, engineer and lawyer. In secondary school, at least one skill will be taught. This will reduce their dependency on getting a "white collar job". Skill acquisition will be included in every school curriculum.

•In my leadership as president, one important innovative I will make is that any child that is birthed by parents who doesn't have a good means to cater for him/her will be given out for adoption to parents who can cater for them or they are put in foster care. This is a means to reduce homeless and malnourished children.

CONCLUSION
The current condition of Nigeria is not a proud one to be talked about. There is high level of inflation, Cybercrimes, police brutality and insecurities. The only thing that can savage the situation is a good governance and good citizens. We need a leader that will persist until Nigeria is great again, an transparent, innovative and flexible leader and these are my core virtues.

Thank you for going through my manifesto

I invite @estysam @judeet20 and @ceendy20 to join this context
