Well if no Let me quickly tell you about something super exciting that's happening in my neighborhood. Can you Imagine it's a whole month of fun and celebration where every day breaks to brings new surprises!

Our very own Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the state governor, came up with this amazing and brilliant idea called 🤙Ibom Christmas Unplugged. It's definitely like having 31 different parties, one day for each local government area in Akwa Ibom State. The best part? It all happens here at this amazing place called the Discovery Park, which then turns into a magical Christmas village during the December season!
Starting from the day *December 1st, each local government area in the state gets their special day to show off what really makes them unique. It's always like when each of the class in school gets a chance to perform at a talent show, but then even better because it definitely includes traditional dances, food, and the cultural displays!

On the day December 12th, it was Ikono's turn to shine! This definitely where I'm from, and of course we're known as the "Cradle of Ibibio Nation" - that's pretty cool, right? Most Importantly people from our area all came to celebrate with our ethnicity. We all saw amazing traditional dances, different beautiful cultural displays, and as well everyone wore their best traditional attire.
You all know what's really really neat about this celebration and the season? It all round helps the kids like us to learn about our own culture in a fun way! Instead of probably just reading about our traditions in books alone, we all get the chance to see them come all alive with music, the dance, hype, and storytelling. Plus too, everyone all gets to taste the different traditional foods we have and see how people lived in the olden days till date.

This indeed is the second time we're having this amazing celebration, and it more of just keeps getting better!
- It's really like having a giant community party where certainly everyone learns about each other's traditions while having the tons of fun. The best part here is that families all come together, make new friends, and at last create wonderful memories together.

Isn't this amazing how my neighborhood all turn into such a pleasure and magical place during the Christmas time? This is definitely what makes Akwa Ibom special - we always celebrate our differences while then coming together as one big and a happy family!
