Basically, the steemit blockchain is a social media platform that allows for its active users to be rewarded for creating and making a post, also for curating or voting a post and content.

The steem blockchain is ran by making use of and utilizing the cryptocurrency and digital token called Steem as its native token, then within the platforms are a lot of communities where users can subscribe to, get verified as a member of that community, make posts, comment on the post of others and vote.

Rewards for making posts are distributed in the form of Steem tokens, steem power, stem dollar and trons, the post is active and can be rewarded until the payout date which is seven days after making the post.

If I were to introduce steemit to a stranger, I would first it is a social media platform that offers the opportunity to mine cryptocurrency and make money by writing post.

At this point I am sure he or she would be very eager then I will go on to emphasize on the fact that it is not a get rich quick scheme and that to achieve one's goal he or she must be consistent and and not money oriented.

Imagine a platform where users can share their thoughts, stories, photos, and videos just like on a traditional social media platforms and are rewarded for doing so.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE ACRONYM "CSI" ON STEEMIT. HOW DO A USER KNOW HIS/HER CSI.

The acronym CSI on Steemit stands for content strength indicator It is used to state, report and quantifies the strength of a users content because the more you creat post and contents the more you content strength increases.

WHAT IS THE WORK OF CURATORS ON STEEMIT

Curators on Steemit play a very crucial and significant role in the platform's ecosystem by searching, discovering, evaluating, and promoting by their upvotes and encouraging comments high quality content.

Their job basically is to browse through the cumbersome waves upon waves of posts published by the thousands upon thousands of users and identify those that deserve recognition and support.

Curators role is very important because they ensure that hardworking users of the steemit platform are rewarded and incentivized to keep posting by using their voting power to upvote the contents they find valuable and this does not only rewards the creators with steem tokens but also helps to increases the visibility of the contents.

WHAT IS SP? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RETURN TO STEEM IF A POWER DOWN IS BEING INITIATED

SP which is the acronym of Steem Power basically represents a steemit user's stake in the Steemit platform and it represents his or her commitment to the growth of the platform it also shows if the person is considering using in a long term or and as a result it influences their the support they able to give or receive and their rewards.

When a user initiates a power down, which is basically the process of converting steem power back into liquid Steem, it takes approximately takes four weeks for the process to complete.

During this period, a fraction, which is one fourth of the user's steem power is converted into liquid Steem and made available for the user to make withdrawal each week.
