Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 78:What I do when I don't feel like Blogging.
Lately, I've found myself struggling to maintain my blogging routine. I'd plan to write at night, but exhaustion would take over, and I'd put it off until the next day. Then, I'd get caught up in participating in contests and challenges, and before I knew it, the deadline would pass, and I'd still haven't blogged.
I'd also take pictures of my daily activities, intending to create a dairy game, but at the end of the day, I'd fail to blog.
Fortunately, seeing this contest has motivated me to join and share my experiences. If you're struggling with blogging laziness, don't worry. This publication will provide you with helpful tips to overcome it. To start, I'll answer the following questions....
Have you had this kind of experience, where you lacked the strength and interest to blog?
I can definitely relate to this experience. Looking back at my blog, I noticed that there were periods where I'd only have one active post, and it would take me 4 to 5 days to muster up the energy to create another one. This wasn't ideal, and I knew I needed to break out of this cycle.

During those times, I was struggling with weakness, stress, depression, and a lack of interest in blogging. Despite finding contests I wanted to participate in, I'd often procrastinate and neglect to blog about them.
There have been instances where I'd start writing a post, only to abandon it halfway through. The incomplete draft would linger for days, and eventually, I'd delete it without completing the publication. This pattern of starting strong but failing to finish really hindered my blogging progress.
I have a genuine passion for writing Diary Game posts on Steemit. However, I went through a phase where I lost interest in it. Ironically, this happened when I was supposed to be documenting my daily activities. I'd start by taking pictures in the morning, but then I'd forget to capture the rest of my day. By the evening, I'd remember that I was supposed to write my Diary Game post, but it would be too late.
This pattern repeated itself numerous times, weakening my motivation and interest. It was a challenging period, but recognizing these patterns has helped me acknowledge the areas where I need to improve.
Do you think it's normal? If yes/No, why?
Losing motivation and strength in blogging is normal, especially when life gets in the way. I've experienced this firsthand, struggling with physical and mental stress that made it difficult to create quality content. Recently, I went through a similar phase, and my interest in blogging waned. I realized that I had fallen into a common mindset among Steemians, expecting upvotes from curators. When I didn't receive them after posting, I felt discouraged and lost motivation.

However, a valuable lesson from @bossj23 changed my perspective. He reminded me that I'm not entitled to upvotes from curators. Using the analogy of a shop owner, he explained that consistency and quality are key to success. Just as a business owner must be consistent despite not seeing customers and offer excellent products to attract customers, a blogger must continue creating high-quality content to excel on Steemit.
How did you overcome it ?
First, the advice that bossj23 gave me has been a game-changer, helping me adopt a more patient and persistent approach to blogging.

Embracing the reality that upvotes are not an entitlement has helped me a lot. I now create content with the understanding that success may not be immediate, but it will inevitably come. This mindset shift has greatly improved my ability to keep going, enabling me to overcome the lack of strength and interest that once hindered my blogging journey.
Another key factor that helped me regain my strength and interest in blogging is regular exercise. During the period when physical and mental stress hindered my blogging journey, exercising regularly proved to be a lifesaver.

I'm deeply grateful to @ngoenyi for her StayFit Fitness Club, which I joined. The support from that fitness community was invaluable, helping me navigate challenging times. After each exercise session, I'd feel revitalized and stress-free, allowing me to tackle blogging with renewed strength. As time passed, the exercise routine helped alleviate the issues affecting my blogging journey, and I'm now proud to be consistently blogging on Steemit.

Self-meditation has been another invaluable tool in my journey to overcome the lack of strength and interest in blogging. To clear my mind and recharge, I'd often retreat to a serene spot, usually beside a pool, where I'd sit alone, breathe in some fresh air, and meditate. I committed to this practice for four days a week during my blogging slump, and I can honestly attest that it made a profound difference.

If someone were to ask me today if I've overcome my blogging challenges, the screenshot above would serve as a resounding "yes". Just weeks ago, I was struggling to maintain a consistent posting schedule, with only 2 active posts in a week.
However, thanks to the support of Steemians like bossj23 and ngoenyi, combined with regular exercise and self-meditation, I've made significant progress. As evident from the screenshot, I've successfully created 8 active posts in a single week, demonstrating a notable improvement in my blogging productivity.
To sum up my publication, it's normal to feel reluctant to blog on Steemit, but it's not normal to quit. Remember the illustration and advice my great teacher gave to me regarding the shop owner. We have to be consistent, have in mind that we're not entitled to upvote from the curators, exercise regularly, meditate and keep on creating quality content. Putting all these into practice, you'll see yourself excel on Steemit, goodluck.
I'd like to invite @rosselena @alexanderpeace and @josepha to participate in this contest.
