Fellow Nigerians it is a privilege and honor to stand before you today to give this manifesto as a presidential aspirant of this great nation. We all know that Nigeria as a country has been known to be the giant of the continent Africa. This is due to a number of verifiable reasons. It is Africa’s most populous nation, with the largest economy, and many other factor Nigeria is known to be the bellwether of the continent Africa. Since the late 1960s it has been based primarily on the petroleum industry. A series of world oil price increases from 1973 produced rapid economic growth in transportation, construction, manufacturing, and government services.

The current situation of the nation

green line.png

The country continues to face massive developmental challenges, including the need to reduce the dependency on oil and diversify the economy, address insufficient infrastructure, build strong and effective institutions, as well as address governance issues and public financial management systems.

Inequality, in terms of income and opportunities, remains high and has adversely affected poverty reduction. The lack of job opportunities is at the core of the high poverty levels, regional inequality, and social and political unrest. High inflation has also taken a toll on household’s welfare and continuous inflating prices of goods and services in 2020, 2021 and 2022 are likely to have pushed several more millions of Nigerians to more abject poverty.

Nigeria faces security challenges on several fronts. In the northeast, conflict between the military with and Boko Haram and an Islamic State-affiliated splinter faction, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has killed tens of thousands over the past decade, displaced millions, and caused a protracted humanitarian crisis. In Nigeria’s northwest, conflict between pastoralists and farmers recently has escalated amid a broader deterioration in security conditions involving cattle rustling, kidnapping, ethnic massacres, and emergent Islamist extremist activity. Farmer-herder violence also has surged in the central Middle Belt, where disputes over resource access coincide with ethno-religious cleavages between Christian and Muslim communities. In the south, criminality, militancy, oil theft and bonkery in the oil-rich Niger Delta have impeded development and contributed to insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea for decades.

The effects of this is seen in the reduced food productions and starvation in many places, investors are also scared of coming to our dear country and this is all the result of bad and clueless leadership.

The Cause

green line.png

The cause of this unbearable situation is very simple “BAD/CLUELESS/VISIONLESS LEADERSHIP”. Everything rises and falls on leadership.

green line.png

Why am I the best candidate to fill this position?

green line.png

There is a popular saying that “Actions speaks louder than words”, while other political candidates are making empty and unrealistic promises to woo the gullible and unintelligent Nigerians, I am relying on my proven track records.
“History is not the past but a map of the past, drawn from a particular point of view, to be useful to the modern traveler.”
Having lead people from different ethnic groups, religion and believes. This leadership positions were in religious organizations, academic institutions and community. And with my proven track records you can verify and be convinced I am the right man for this position.

What I have to offer

green line.png

The simplest and basic responsibility of every leader in government is to protect and provide.
Without wasting time, I will list a few things I will implement if I am elected the president of Nigeria.

Invest in the security sector:

I will bring in more professional military training for the military personnel, increase their remuneration. And also place laws that prosecute military personnel when they engage in activities that are against human rights.

I will make sure the refineries in Nigeria begins to function properly

It is an irony that we produce so much oil in the nation and still buys all the petroleum products we consume. This is a pitiable situation. It can be understood by this illustration.
A farmer planted Yams and nurtured it and the produce was great, the same farmer wants to eat pounded yam, he has the pounding machines in his house but decides to package the yam and send it to a far country to boil and pound it and at after that buys the same yam and and bears the logistic cost to get it back to the country. As silly as this illustration is, it is the situation in our great country and this is why we have fuel scarcity and sales at a very high price even though we produce so much in the nation.

  1. Once the security of the nation is stable, I will invest a whole great budget in the Agricultural sector and make sure there is food security. Farmers will be equipped with machineries, seeds and chemicals for production and as well as good road network to transport their produce easily. I will also invest a whole lot in irrigation considering the seasonal changes and its effect in our country so farmer can produce food all year round.

  1. The education sector in Nigeria needs overhauling. ASUU consistent strike has been unbearable, I will make sure the education section booms again. You may wonder why things don’t work in Nigeria, a country where the minister of health has no academic qualification in health sciences or related field, and the minister of education has no educational background, the minister of sports was never a sportsman and so on. These are the reasons why the country has failed. I will make sure that capable and experienced hands are given these roles to move the nation forward.

  1. The power sector will also be transformed and an average Nigerian should have at least 18hrs good power supply everyday

  2. I will remove ban on crypto currency and encourage youth to invest in technology. As this will reduce the fraudulent activities practiced by youths in the country.

Everything rises and falls on leadership

Nothing can be closer to the truth with regards this. When the head is bad, the whole body is bound to follow suit. Leadership is everything and efficient leadership is key to growth and development in any country.

Hello @adorable-diala
I have contact with many Nigerian friends, I know that it is a country that could have much better people, however, the same thing happens with politicians in Latin America, corruption makes them act in the worst way.
I do not believe that a country should only depend on oil, that is very bad, it is a lack of a general vision.
Security, good point, I did not know that conflicts over religious and ethnic issues were so marked, that is very unfortunate.
Thanks for the mention, good luck in the contest.

Thanks friend @josevas217 for reading through my post. I agree with your point, depending only oil is lack of vision.

You have presented a great analysis of the situation in Nigeria.

The issue of insecurity is a pressing issue in the nation; which has had an impact on the transport of products and merchandise harvested in the Nigerian fields.

That is why national security will be a topic of special interest in your management, to facilitate the free movement of citizens, and the transportation of their crops.

Thanks for reading through and dropping a comment. It's all our wish to have a working country that rewards its citizens for hard and smart work.
