Hello Elton!!! :D
And yes, he is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I know my late mom would LOVED to have painted him! She loved to paint sheep - and I know he is not a sheep... but he is a very handsome goat indeed! <3
The "headdress" looks GOOD haha!
Only what do I do with a matted lump of Elton... ⁇ ♀ 京
What do you normally do with it?
Oh yes, this gorgeous guy is a sheep. "Goat" is obviously a translation error that "Google website" entails. He's a beautiful ram... 🥰
If I could draw, I would draw the sheep. They are brilliant subjects - each one looks different (even the all-white sheep) if you look really closely. But since I can't draw, my cell phone's memory is overflowing with photos of sheep and lambs. I can't decide which ones to publish, so I'd rather make nonsense on the blog... 😉
Normally the wool is not matted. I usually wash it by hand and without soap, then the wool does not felt.
I can normally comb and spin the hair of my animals after washing and drying. I have already knitted my first sweater from my own sheep's wool... 😊
VERY :)
Ohhhh that is so awesome!!! How lovely to be able to do that for yourself @chriddi :D
My mom always said that everyone can draw - even the people who think they can't. (She used to teach art) So maybe you should give it a try... starting with white blobs haha!
As for them as subjects, yes - they are delightful subjects! I thankfully managed to get my hands on a couple of my moms sheep paintings after she passed. They were always very popular and sold quite quickly, so I was lucky!
Yes. That's something I'm really proud of: I can wear my own sweater made from my own sheep. I also like to show it off, but I can't find a photo in a hurry... 😂
"Anyone can draw!", I've often heard. Just like "Anyone can sing!" And then they kicked me out of the children's choir at the tender age of 10... My trauma for life? At first, yes. But then I quickly learned that everyone has talents and I know mine... 😎
lol!!! Oh shame @chriddi, that is awful, lol!
Well, whatever those talents are - or aren't, I suppose the mani thing is that whatever we are doing, that we have fun! Even if we do sound like a sick cat or our art looks like a pre-schoolers hahahaha!!!
