Och, considering there are few "real readers" left on the Steem, I can't complain about a lack of readers. I don't publish often, but when I do, there are always a few readers who engage with my writing. Most of them do this not because they hope for votes in return, but because they find my work interesting. These handful of users are what keep me on Steemit - certainly not the coins or the begging for them.
I've been facing the same problems...
