Hello Everyone!

source
Srilankan is one of the most famous countries for its unique Ayurvedic medicine known as "Hela Wedakama". This traditional medicine has been passed on to generations and generations for thousands of years. I started my post with a beautiful song sung by a Srilankan legend about one of our traditional medicine. Hope you have watched the video. This song is named "Kothamalli" which is known as Coriander.
When you translate the lyrics of the song, It says:
Drink "Kothamalli"
Let's drink "Kothamalli", Why do we need whisky and brandy?
Brother, Sister, and everyone drink "Kothamalli"
So on it goes...Now you all know what is "Kothamalli"!😁
What are the names of traditional medicines in your country that you know?
From a very young age, "Paspanguwa" is a commonly used traditional medicine at our home. My mom used to make it for me every time I get ill. With the help of Paspanguwa, I get recovered fast, and very rarely I visited a doctor. Therefore I know the ingredients it contains very well. All of them are traditional medicines that are added into "Paspanguwa" (it means five portions).

What are the uses (benefits) of these traditional medicines?
This is one of the easiest traditional medicine which we use day to day. I use it more often when I'm too tired and if I'm having a common cold. Since it is full of antioxidants it really helps to boost our immune. And it contains anti-inflammatory herbs which help in digestion and has many healing effects. Having coriander is also very healthy for ladies to maintain their menstrual cycle.
During the pandemic, It is one of the most used traditional medicine. People had it all day to increase their immunity so that they won't catch the virus easily. It was an essential medicine in the house. Many people were able to save their life with the help of traditional medicine.
Are there any negative effects of it? If so, please state anything!
Even if these medicines are natural it's not good to consume them on a daily basis. Having it on and off will give great health benefits. I have heard coriander drinks can lower blood sugar rapidly. So I think anything too much is not good. Balancing all traditional medicines will give great health benefits.
At the end of the discussion, share your selfie with the traditional medicine you made.
This is how my traditional medicine turned out. It is refreshing and has a nice flavor to enjoy!
Thank you so much to the #steemithealth community for organizing such an interesting contest and helping to bring back our traditional medicines to day-to-day life. I think most youngsters might not be heard about these medicines and how much helpful they are to cure any sickness.
Concluding my participation by inviting my loving friends @faran-nabeel @khursheedanwar and @senehasa.
Hi Mile...
