SECS 8 Week 5: The story of my birth

in STEEMIT HEALTHlast year (edited)

Greetings, steemers!

Another cool contest has come, and I'm ready to crush it! ☺ This is particularly a topic that caught my attention, because I have been told the story of my birth many times. It was a tradition at home that my mom told this story on my birthday when we were about to eat the cake or after the cake; and whoever was there (my siblings, grandma, my aunt and cousins) commented funny stuff about it. But what's more, my mom has told me certain things that happened before the day I was born, and I'm willing to share this story with you.

The story of my birth

■Tell us in the most creative way, What is the story of your birth?

When my mom was pregnant with me and I was about to be born, she had a problem... or should I say I had a problem? The fact is that I turned upside down and the doctors told my mom that she was in risk. She was going to have a risky delivery in which she could die, or even I could have died. The solution they found was practicing a c-section on her because the natural delivery was too dangerous.

One night, when my mom was on her prayers about to sleep, she started feeling a pain in her womb. That pain was increasing very badly, and she said it was even hard to breath. She tried calling my dad who was in the living room, but her scream was muted by this pain. It was a terrible experience that she claims that has no comparison to any other she ever had. When the pain ceased and she was able to speak again, she asked my dad to take her to the doctor. They were the next day as early as they could.

When the doctor checked on my mom... What a surprise! I was back to normal! They couldn't explain what happened there, but it turned out that the pain my mom felt that night was produced by me, who had been turning myself around. Unbelievable. At the end, my mom had a natural delivery with no risks or complications at all.

Fun fact: When my mom and dad tell the story of that day, they remember there was too much noise at the nursery, or newborn baby area. The babies were crying like crazy and extremely aloud! ... Well, the funny thing here is that there was no other baby but me.

■Have you had any particular experience with a pregnant woman?

Not that I can remember, but there is something that could have happened and I'm happy it didn't because it would have been awful for the woman and her baby.

Remember that "Zika" epidemic of 2016? The one that came after "Chikungunya," yeah? It was said that pregnant women had to avoid Zika at all costs because it endangered babies. I don't remember exactly how, but the fact is that it killed some babies. Well, by the time of that epidemic, I was studying with a pregnant girl. Unfortunately, I got sick with Zika, but fortunately, the day I started feeling the symptoms she didn't attend class, and it was one day before the Carnival break, so I had no contact with this girl while I was sick during the break, therefore, I didn't put her baby in danger. Thank God!

■Did you inherit any disease from your parents? Tell us the details.

There is a condition that runs on my dad's side of the family, but it's not exactly a disease. It's hemorrhoids. My dad inherited hemorrhoids from his mother, and my sister and I kept this genetic "tradition" ha ha.

■During your childhood, Do you remember any recurring illnesses?

I remember having my ears sick all the time, does it count? There was a time in my childhood in which I was always feeling pain in my ears because they got swollen for some reason. Nowadays, I have a condition called vertigo that seems to have been originated in my ears, or at least one of them. In fact, my right ear is almost deaf. The diagnosis the otorhinolaryngologist doctor gave me after an audiography (a kind of test for checking one's audition) in 2021 was: "conductive hearing loss."

There are always consequences from our childhood after all.

I wish there were more questions, this was like a therapy to me ♥

Wow, indeed you are a child from the almighty and his grace is always with you, I have seen so many women whose child turn upside down and they face really big problem, but with the help of God you were born safely.

Yes, sir. I believe so. God kept me and my mom safe in a way that was so unlikely to happen, I see it as a miracle.

Hi friend, wow, interesting story, glad everything went very well with your birth. Sorry to hear about your pathology, but well, as you rightly say sometimes there are consequences, the good thing is that this is not a limiting factor for you to go ahead and be who you want to be. I am sure you are a great person with many abilities.

Greetings and thank you for participating in our challenge. Have a nice day.
