MAKE THE KINGDOM OF GOD YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN
MAKE THE KINGDOM OF GOD YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN
32 THESE things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
33 SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD ABOVE ALL ELSE, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."
Matthew 6:32,33 (NLT)
• God knows your needs. Relax, God is in control. You would have to make God and His Kingdom number one or first thing in your life. Let the matter of His Kingdom be your primary concern—your utmost priority.
- The Kingdom of God on earth is all about the work of God on the earth. The ministers of God and other things that had to do with the Church of Christ on earth.
- Focus on the Kingdom matters and let your matters be in God's hand, to be taken care of by Him. God will give you, or make available for you, all you need for each day, If you live for God and His Kingdom.
- Do not allow God's Kingdom to be behind. Make sure you are always involved, be a part, in the building of His Kingdom on earth.
- No matter how small It may be, contribute; both in making yourself available and the giving of your substance, to be part of the building of the Kingdom.
• Your heavenly Father already knows all you needs. And the needs would be taken care of by Him.
- Making the Kingdom of God your primary concern takes faith. Christianity is all about faith. Walking with God has to be by faith.
- You just have to trust God and act based on His Word, and leave the rest—the fulfilment of whatever He promises to do—with Him.
- An average Believer's concern should be about God's Kingdom; how It would be established. How the work would be financed.
I. Regularity of your Kingdom Investment should be your priority.
a. How the tithes of your income would be paid.
b. How you will give and be part of the project commanded by God.
c. Being concerned about the welfare of the ministers of God—Giving to bless and meet their needs.
d. Being mindful of the mission work—giving towards it.
e. And how the Needy in the household of faith would be taken care of.
II. When the Kingdom work becomes burdensome for you to take part in, that is, you begin to see it As a problem or a source of great worry or stress or a weight; then you begin to dwindle in whatever you are doing.
III. The work of God should not be seen as a Burden, neither should it be done with complaints, murmurings or grumblings: "SO LET EACH ONE GIVES AS HE PURPOSES IN HIS HEART, NOT GRUDGINGLY OR OF NECESSITY [compulsion]; FOR GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER" (2 Corinthians 9:10 NKJV).
• Be cheerful about whatever you do for God and His Kingdom. Your making is attached to the Increase and enlargement of the Kingdom of God.
- When you neglect your responsibility in the Kingdom, the house of God or the ministry you identify with; financial stagnation and setbacks are inevitable (Haggai 1:9-11).
- If you made God's Kingdom your primary concern, He will bless your bread and water. Remember, the Blessing which has no sorrow in addition is from God: "THE BLESSING OF THE LORD MAKES ONE RICH, AND HE ADDS NO SORROW WITH IT" (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV).
- When God's Kingdom is made your utmost priority, the little efforts you put in whatever you do would yield maximally; because the hand of God rests on it (Haggai 2:19).
- And also, the money you made would be blessed and used wisely, because God's blessing rests on it. And that would be, because you made His Kingdom your primary concern (Haggai 2:18,19).
- The reason why you would be blessed and have all round rest is, when you made the Kingdom of God your ultimate priority (2 Corinthians 9:6-10). Thus, do not see whatever you do for God and His Kingdom as a Burden, whereby you begin to murmur (2 Corinthians 9:7).
• Make God's Kingdom your primary concern.
- Do not despise the servants of God, the spiritual authorities over your life. They are meant to watch over your soul, thus, Encourage them in doing the work:
12 DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, HONOUR THOSE WHO ARE YOUR LEADERS IN THE LORD'S WORK. THEY WORK HARD AMONG YOU AND GIVE YOU SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE. 13 SHOW THEM GREAT RESPECT AND WHOLEHEARTED LOVE BECAUSE OF THEIR WORK. And live peacefully with each other" (1 Thessalonians 5:12,13 NLT).
"OBEY YOUR [spiritual] LEADERS AND SUBMIT TO THEM [recognizing their authority over you], FOR THEY ARE KEEPING WATCH OVER YOUR SOULS AND CONTINUALLY GUARDING YOUR SPIRITUAL WELFARE AS THOSE WHO WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT [of their stewardship of you]. LET THEM DO THIS WITH JOY AND NOT WITH GRIEF AND GROANS, FOR THIS WOULD BE OF NO BENEFIT TO YOU."
Hebrews 13:17 (Amps)
- If you have been faithful in the ministry, the Kingdom work, and your breakthrough is around the corner; be watchful, the devil might want to deceive you to stop in your Commitment in the work—what you felt impelled to do for God.
- Do not allow any distraction in the doing of the work. And do not allow yourself to be talked out of the work by those who had no hope, and had no where to go. Heaven is not the priority of such people:
18 FOR I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, THAT THERE ARE MANY WHOSE CONDUCT SHOWS THEY ARE REALLY ENEMIES OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST. 19 THEY ARE HEADED FOR DESTRUCTION. THEIR god IS THEIR APPETITE, THEY BRAG ABOUT SHAMEFUL THINGS, AND THEY THINK ONLY ABOUT THIS LIFE HERE ON EARTH" (Philippians 3:18,19 NLT). - A Believer who failed in his or her Kingdom commitments, or whatever you felt impelled to do for God; has failed in everything.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- You who had been under the oppression of the devil; sicknesses and diseases, you are liberated now in Jesus' name.
- The hold of the enemy, the devil, is broken in your life in Jesus' name.
- Receive your healing now and begin to live in health in Jesus' name.
- And I declare, the afflictions will never rise again in Jesus' name.
Peace!
