SEC-S20W1: Who is a Programmer? What should you have done before to become a programmer in the future?
Have you ever think of a background characters that’s important in a process but rarely shows up? Then, search no more because results have been found. One of such background character is a programmer. Imagine opening your laptops or desktop only to discover a blank page, you might think the computer is faulty. The reality is that you are ignoring the work of important personnel. In this essay, let’s see who this person really is.

Programmers are set of specialized personnel who write, test and translate code into program or application. This people specialize in writing codes which a compute can read when given instruction. As long as the digital world is concerned, these people can never be ignored because there are the building blocks. We can trace its history to the late 19th century. This was when Charles Babbage and Lady Ada Lovelace developed their first codes making them a pioneer in the field of programming.

The profession of a programmer encircle around these three main facts: Write, modify and testing programming codes. Before a digital devices like mobile phones, laptops, etc; it has to pass through the working hands of a programmer. The programming field can be split into different aspects which are worth consideration. Without the programmers, other profession who use mobile devices won’t be able to execute their jobs properly.

The work of a programmer includes the flowing
- Writing programming codes: The primary duty of a programmer is writing and formulating programming codes. Before a computer is fully operational, there are codes embedded in it which permit its swift responses to command. If you ask who is responsible for it? Then my answer remains that it’s the programmer.
- Modifying programming codes: Another function peculiar to programmers are the modification of computing codes. In a situating whereby a given code cannot fit into the work description of a certain application, it’s the work of a programmer to modify it making it compactable.
- Testing function: After the work is completed, the programmer has to test in order to detect any bugs or unlikely situations.

I was fortunate to ask my lecturer a question. In my question, I asked “what is the qualification to be met before one can be a programmer”? According to him, he said one should have a bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics”. Coming to me, after learning those courses, it’s important to have a driven force known as passion. With passion, one can be developed problem solving reasoning which is needed in this field. In general, I’ll say that one should have a burning passion and the certificate to further his or her programming career.

It should be better explained what programmers do and how they differ from other IT professions. There are errors in the text, which made it difficult to read. When you asked your lecturer, you changed the question - and this changed the whole meaning of "what is the qualification to be met before one can be a programmer"? This is a completely different question.
No one has answered the main question yet, some have only touched on it. Although the answer is in my text about this contest.
