Culinary Сontest | Jaggery rice recipe✨
Today, I'm sharing a very easy and quick recipe that requires minimal ingredients. This is a traditional Pakistani sweet dish, often made on Eid or other special occasions. I'm making it in a very simple way, but it turns out delicious!
Here are the ingredients we need for this recipe: |

- 3 pieces of jaggery, crushed
- Water
- Cardamom
- Fennel seeds
- Half kg of rice
- For garnish, we can use almonds or any other dry fruits we like, and crushed coconut
Now, let's move on to the cooking method: |

First, soak the rice in water for some time.
Then, take 3-4 pieces of jaggery and wrap them in a cloth. Crush them using a heavy object like a rolling pin to make them finer.
Next, heat half a cup of oil in a pot and add the crushed jaggery and 3 green cardamom. When the jaggery dissolves and starts bubbling,
add 3-4 glasses of water. When the water starts boiling, add the rice.
When the rice absorbs the water and starts bubbling again, put the pot on slow heat and cover it with a clean cloth. Make sure the cloth is tight so that the steam doesn't escape, and our rice cooks properly.
After 5 minutes of steaming, our jaggery rice is ready! Garnish it with almonds and coconut, and our delicious jaggery rice is ready to eat!"
