Halloween Decorations in North Carolina - American Steem
My kids are grown, so Halloween, to me, is a time to pull out the scary movies and binge until my eyes shut. It's become a favorite pastime of mine in the fall. Speaking of Halloween, I have to share the pictures of my two neighbors' decorations...keep in mind I took them during the day, and the lights were obviously not seeable.
Neighbor number 1 said he spent three months getting everything right for the occasion. He had four 12+ foot decorations.
He quite obviously spent a lot of time and effort on this setup that includes a fog machine, light show, sound equipment, and hanging objects in the trees that move and drip.
For me, it's the sickle.
This thing is cool. It's like Wickerman/Groot meets the Night King, and I love it.
The headless Horsemen will forever be an acceptable lawn ornament.
What makes all of this great is that just 10-11 years ago, the fuddy-duddies who used to live in this area would have never participated in Halloween like this. They didn't even turn their front porch lights on for trick-or-treaters—and I do not mean just a few; I mean, NONE in this town did.
At any rate, I'm gonna go watch 'Late Night with the Devil' (trailer below) and then probably binge-watch 'Tales From the Crypt' till I drop. Y'all take it easy, and don't forget to watch something scary tonight.
