Potential Title Contenders - Manchester United
It's another exciting season of premier league football. And this time level of excitement at the red half of Manchester is tide too high. And they have obvious reasons for it. The Prince of the theater of dreams is back home. It's the homecoming of arguably the greatest goal scorer of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United may not have signed a big number of players but they have made some key incomings this summer. One of that be the sensational British talent Jadon Sancho. The Englishman had a tough negotiation to go through with the move to Old Trafford. With United scouting him since 2018, he's finally here in 2021. Last season Dortmund were reluctant to release him at a lower fee than what they asked for. But eventually they paid the sum in full this season, knowing Dortmund won't show any mercy. After completing the long awaited transfer and adding some quality to the right wing position, United then shifted their focus to their defense. Harry Maguire was already there but alone wasn't enough as other teammates Victor Lindelof and Eric Baily aren't up to the standards. They then secured the signature of the four times champions league winning center back from Real Madrid, Raphael Varane. This negotiation was a swift one and didn't take as much time as Sancho. United still needed to strengthen thei right back position as Wan-Bissaka isn't the best choice in all cases and he isn't the most exciting going forward. So they targeted Kieran Trippier of Atletico Madrid. But they couldn't match their asking price so they couldn't sign him.
But there was one place in the team that needed the most attention but United failed to reinforce, the defensive midfield position. United play in a double pivot so they usually play to central midfielders to cover for Bruno Fernandes in front of them, but against bigger and more technical teams the lack of a proper defensive midfielder is ever present. Finally United signed Cristiano Ronaldo. This wasn't a planned signing but as soon as United saw that Ronaldo was closing towards Manchester City, the whole club went wild and tried everything in their power to hijack the move. As Cristiano going to Manchester City will be big slap in the face of Manchester United. In the end United were able to negotiate with Ronaldo's agent and agreed the deal and announced the new signing which eventually made the footballing world happy.
United have strengthened their attack and defense. Though the defensive midfield is still a worry but no team is perfect. But United have a well oiled system going on which is actually bringing them wins. But to take on the title they have the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea to face and surpass. Which is a very tough ask. As Manchester City are dominating as always and Chelsea are scary under Thomas Tuchel with water tight defense. Also Liverpool have won the league in the season before the last one and last season they had an injury crisis. A full fit Liverpool team under Jurgen Klopp is a huge threat. Manchester United will have to overcome all these heavyweights and also not drop points against lower table oppositions. As every point in the league marathon is important.
