AN UNFILTERED LIFE TO SHARE: HOW STEEMIT SAVED ME FROM BEING JOBLESS?

in Beauty of Creativity3 years ago (edited)

Greetings everyone! This day, I want to share to you about how my unfiltered life going. To start, I would likely to introduce myself once again.

Hi! I’m Marge (@lullettematz -got it from mom), my real name. And I’m 4 years now here in Steemit. I started posting since I was in 4th year college. In year of 2019, I was finally an Engineering graduate but sadly the world didn’t cooperate after a year because of this pandemic we’re having these days and we all know some of people lost their jobs and got their businesses or shops closed yet there’s Steemit which helped us to RISE AGAIN.

Just this year, I’ve been striving in posting in this blockchain for me to able to reach or hit the amount that I badly wanted. As for inspiration, I always think of my parents so I can pay them back for everything. As other people say, “our child is an investment” -I don’t like this phrase honestly but in reality, it’s a given that we should really have to pay them back for everything that they do for us. And in my case, I still haven’t do that.

Sometimes it makes me think that “what if, I stuck here?”. And I feel like, my future dreams already left me just because I still don’t got a job and my family’s home business isn’t that good when this world’s tragedy happened. BUT, I’m still above thankful that I got to know this platform so I cleared my mind and wiped out the negativities then I started to list my goals once again and that is to think about interesting contents to write and post here.

When I was in college, I still have SBD left here in my account and that was year 2018. At that year, we all know that the market was in really low value so I decided to just save my SBDs for the future and just focus on my studies for some time. And just this year of 2021, I decided to share my photos and arts once again because I thought of missing it so I did it. Gladly, Steemit welcomed me warmly after I put my account from rest.

The steem value these past few months was like waves that is increasing and decreasing. And honestly, it stresses me out when I find it decreasing but I shouldn’t let myself down. Instead, I strive to steem harder for me to hit that goal amount and I was in awe when it happened just last month! After seeing the total amount after converting it, I immediately processed it to withdraw all of my SBDs that I saved since I started here (2017) up to now.

After few minutes of processing it, I divided my money into four batch of withdrawals to avoid spending it in one-go (me -being practical). Luckily, I made the right decision since I badly needed it these days.

Here’s my first batch process to cash out my money. Special thanks to my partner @philipiarniebinag for helping me to do this and for the non-stop motivation. And he’s also the main reason why I knew Steemit. 🙂

So when I got my money, I immediately bought this watercolor set I always wanted to have. I bought this first because this has a huge impact in my journey here in this platform as I first started sharing my watercolor artwork tutorial and slowly it helped me to explore and discover more my talent and found some improvements (thanks to other Steemit artists out there -you helped me to grow).

When I got home, I immediately tried it as I really miss watercolor painting.

After that, I spend the money for the basic necessities. I brought my parents out from home and buy groceries. And since this store just opened, it was also good for my family to try out how good the store is.

To tell you, this is my very first time to treat my parents this much. And It was really a good feeling to give them something you’ve been working for. A side of they are my inspiration, they also gave me this life and chance to try or stand once again despite of the hardships we’ve been into.

This is the official receipt of the goods we bought. It’s as long as beauty pageants’ sash 😁. And the total payment is 89.39 in US dollar.

After the long wait in buying groceries, my sister and I immediately arranged the goods in their respective places.

These are pineapple and mayonnaise in packs. We actually don’t buy sandwich spread in a glass container because it’s too much for us and we like it this way better as it’s just right for a month and we don’t really like it when it’s been inside the refrigerator for long, too.

For snack time.

For the other goods, we put it inside our old refrigerator as we don’t have pantry or an extra room to put these goods. Honestly, my parents already decided to throw it away but I insisted to make it as goods storage instead of disposing. And now they loved this idea! So do I.

So that’s it! It is how Steemit saved me from being jobless for over a year now. And my hardship just paid off. From late sleep nights to over thinking what to post the next day and asking myself if would it be interesting.

I may not be a professional or a career woman right now, but in time I know that I’ll shine someday and I’ll be in the place where my goals are. And to my future self, just wait and trust me. Every waits will be worth it. 🙂

By the way, if you think about the money left from my first batch withdraw, I gave it to me parents and my sister so they can buy whatever they need. 😊

And I hope that Steemit could help a lot more people in whole wide world. Especially to top curators who motivated me from my first post this year after I stopped posting for almost 2 years. And to the person reading this, never stop on writing. Just keep on posting and hit your goals! As what the legends said, STEEM BLOCKCHAIN IS A MONEY MAKING MACHINE! So never lost hope and work hard for it instead and you will have it in your hands one day because this blockchain is really a LIFE SAVER! 💝

Have a good day everyone and HAPPY STEEMING!
