Happy day friends of BoC, today I stop by to share with you some beautiful photos in macro mode, of a very attractive and interesting insect. This insect can be repulsive and threatening to many people because it has earned a bad reputation.

It is a millipede, the help of Google Lens allowed me to discover that its scientific name is Harpaphe haydeniana, they are recognizable by their shiny dark color (black or olive green) and that at the top of the segments they have some tip-shaped extensions in a contrasting color, this one is yellow, this together with their legs that are orange or terracotta makes them very beautiful to look at.

This is a millipede, this is a group of insects that have an elongated body divided into segments; Millipedes have a pair of legs in each segment, this differentiates them from other myriapods, which have only one pair of legs per segment. They can release a stinging liquid as a defense and can be toxic to humans.

I captured it with great care, and took it to a session in my photography studio, I located some elements such as a light ring, containers and lettuce leaves to proceed to photograph it. Their quick movements made it difficult to capture the photos, but some were very beautiful.

The camera is the A7S of my UMIDIGI cell phone, I used macro mode with 1X to 2X zoom, physical focus with close-ups, do not use a tripod or macro lenses. Simple editing of highlights and shadows, as well as sharpness. Also, cuts to adapt them to different formats.
