The Plain Tiger (Danaus chrysippus)
The Plain Tiger (Danaus chrysippus) is one of the beautiful butterflies that we often found lives near our places. It has orange on the upperside with wings edged with black and white while we take a closer look, we can see that the segmented body (head, thorax, and abdomen) of this butterfly is black. This typical butterfly belongs to Nymphalidae, stay under the largest family of butterflies with over 6,000 species. It is often seen flying outside of our house in the afternoon but during this hour, the plain tiger moved quite a lot, flying faster from one spot to another. It would be calmer in the late afternoon.
