usury means sood and sood is haram in Islam. when we power up our steem power we get sood on the amount we power up.
What you can really do is calculate the sood and do hadiya of it without letting anyone know so that you are safe from doing sin.
For example you can calculate the Sood for one year and then do hadiya or sadqa without the intension of getting any sawab on that amount.
