Jewel Bug (Metallic Shield Bug)

Jewel bug or many called metalic shield bug comes from the family Scutelleridae which is classified in the class of true bugs that is also related stink bugs, as they can produce a smell when they are irritated but they mostly bring no harm to people.Jewel bugs come in variety of colours including metallic or iridescent blue, red, orange, black and green. I found this typical jewel bug around the ditch just this afternoon and I also some of them out there.
