Cacao Armyworm (Tiracola plagiata)

in Beauty of Creativitylast month

I decided to spend the rest of the day in the wood, searching for the nature pieces as I used to do in my spare time. Soon I arrived at the spot, I straightly stumbled into the bush while laying eyes on the little things around but before I shifted to another spot, I noticed this fascinating moth with big black eyes and large wings stay calm on the spot. It was big moth which allowed me to take these photos with DSLR. Known as cacao armyworm (Tiracola plagiata) belongs to the family Noctuidae, a species that is mostly distributed in south-east Asia, southern India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar to the South Pacific Islands, including the northern two-thirds of Australia. It is also known for the economic impact of its larvae on agricultural crops. Nevertheless, the appearance of this moths deserve a shot and it really stayed there for quite a while.
