Dream gift for my mom

I want to say a very big thank you to @steemitnursery for giving me this opportunity to celebrate my mom.

My mum is a woman of strength and valor. She hails from bayelsa state in Nigeria. She is the only girl of parents and she has seven other siblings.

My mum wanted to go to school and have a degree in banking and finance but she was not given the privilege due to the death of her father.

My late grandfather whom I never got to know was a nigerian army. He fought in wars against bandits and terrorists. My mum always told me that he was jovial and kind. He wanted all his children to have a proper education and attain great predestals in life, but he was not given the privilege to see his dream come true.

He was assassinated during the coup el detal that was supposed to overthrow General Ibraheem Babaginda. All his properties and money were seized by the government and my grandmother and her children were sent out of the army barrack.

My mom managed to finished her secondary school but she couldn’t go to the university. She became a teacher in a small private school and she has been teaching there for 25 years now.

Everyday my mom tells me that she dream of having her own school. Sometimes she get sad because she knows that it is only a dream and may not come true but I always reassure her that I am going to work hard so that I can build a school for her.

Every single moment of my adult life I always pray that our dream comes true. I can’t wait to see my mom in her office administrating the affairs of her own school with thousands of pupils in it.
