YOU BECOME WHAT YOU CHOOSE

A story was told about a primary school teacher who came into class one day and asked his pupils to write down in a sheet of paper what they would love to be in the future.

While many of the children on the class wrote down fancy professions such as a pilot, an engineer, an astronaut, a medical doctor, one of the kids simply wrote, “I want to be happy”.

What we become in life will be dependent on the choices we make at every point of our lives.
There will be times when we will feel like giving up. There will be times when we cannot summon enough courage to hold on, or to try again.

There will be times when we may feel that nothing is worth the stress any longer. In these times, the choices we make, or fail to make, will determine what becomes of us.

Winners never quit, and quitters never win, so goes the popular saying.
Instead of saying “I can’t do it”, say “I’ll try”.

Approach life with a positive mentality. The one who thinks he can, and the one who thinks he cannot, are both right. It is your choice to see the cup as half empty or half full. A tough task is first won or lost in the mind.
Be positive about the choices you make in this life. Be positive.

Here are a few guides to making good choices

1. Think about the reward
2. Remember, many are looking up to you and believing in you
3. Also remember that many want to see you fail. You can’t afford to give them that pleasure
4. You may never know how capable you are until you try
5. Think about it this way: If you succeed, then it’s great. If it doesn’t quite work out, you’ll learn from it. It’s a win either way.
   Remember: Every day of our life, we are making choices. Choose wisely and create beautiful memories.
