Steem greetings and happy new year to everyone. I am so delighted to participate in the Steem Nursery Contest organised in @steemitnursery by @bright-obias about My Country's Culture.

Wanmahbuh or ngiri

I am a cameroonian citizen and I would be writing specifically about the NSO culture.

Location
The NSO tribe popularly known as Banso is located in the Bamenda Grass field of the North West region of Cameroon. The NSO palace is located in kumbo, the capital of the NSO tribe.

The fon of NSO is one amongst the first class chiefs of the North West region of Cameroon, known as HRH Seh Mbinglo II.The traditional language of the NSO tribe is the Lamnso.

This tribe was founded in 1394 by a woman known as NGONNSO.

Traditional meal
The NSO people's traditional meal is fufucorn with njama njama. This meal is usually eaten in almost every part of Cameroon.

Traditional dances
Their traditional dances include:The mfu traditional dance for men,samba traditional dance for men, tchong traditional dance for women,kidifu for both men and women and longsi for men , just to name a few.

Traditional dressing code
Women usually dress in wrapper and hair scalfs,with bangles and necklaces traditionally made with beads .

The men dress in traditional jumpers with traditional caps, maculin bangles and necklaces made with beads. They hang along traditional bags and short traditionally designed machetes mostly used in dancing mfu.

The NSO tribe has a good number of jujus or masquerades like;The kingaryasi, shykang, yer ngiri,yer nwerong,wanmahbuh or nwerong,nkoh or ngiri and shygwaalah, just to name a few.

Activities
Some common activities that are mostly carried out by the NSO people include:Farming (most dominant), palmwine tapping , keeping local fowls, piggeries, cattle and sheep rearing, hunting and buying and selling just to name a few.

Conclusion
The NSO people are known for their very large population size,due to the fact that they are widely spread in almost every part of Cameroon.
They are equally very passionate about their culture and practice their culture wherever they find themselves mindless of how large or small they are in number. NSO people are very proud of their culture and are known to always say "we're proud of who we are".
