I agree. I have dealt with this type of musical ignorance my whole life. Even though I understand there view point, it find it to be a musical illiteracy in most cases. A structure of country song may fit there standards in most cases, which bus fine. But understanding all music and accepting all forms of music to be art and not something that should be criticized, to each there one. My wife used to hate electronic music and then I became an electronic music producer, I know and understand her level of acceptance when I listen to music with her in the house, it usually is based on mood. But see also loves country music which I never did like, but like I said acceptance and understanding that all forms of music are art and yes I now like country music also. But all forms have their place in space & time.
