Underground art, Beijing, China (3 pics) - part 1
Art is found everywhere in China, even in the transportation system.
I do not understand why not more cities do not follow this path.
There should be no wasted space and art is important for a city.
Since the mid-1980s, art has spanned the Beijing metro, from renowned artist to emerging street artist, there is something for everyone.
We agree that with a network of more than 300 stations stretching over more than 600 kilometers, there is a lot of space to fill.
However, it is sad to see that most people do not even pay attention to their surroundings; they are in too much of a hurry or they have their nose in their cell phone.
This colorful mural caught my eye immediately.
Unfortunately, no idea of the name of the artist or the official theme of this work since everything is written in Chinese, but I can assume that it is a representation of women who have marked Chinese history.
I find that my first picture represents well that in every woman we find a delicate and ferocious side.
Photo taken with a Canon PowerShot SX500 IS.
