... in whale protection. This photo however was taken during another volunteering commitment in Australia. Australia is an expensive country (compared to most countries in the world) and especially trips on boats on the great barrier reef are crazy expensive😅. If you wonder how I managed to finance my trips 💸: There is a lot of work and also volunteering involved. On this boat for example I stayed for 2 nights as a tourist - afterwards I became a volunteer and could exchange my work for accomodation and food.
Which kind of tasks were included? Everything from laundry, preparing buffets, making beds etc. 👩🏼🍳

Not expensive if you earn Aussie dollars. But I lived like a king when I was in Thailand haha
Yup thats what I mean 😂🤣. The weirdest money-wise thing I ever experienced: In the Outback (Australia) we bought one Cornetto-Icecream for 6$ (we somehow overlooked the price 🙈!) Two weeks later I bought the same ice in Thailand for 0.30$ 😂. Money is a crazy concept😅
And cornettos are life!

I think what you do is super strong that you can finance such trips. I admire you for that. I have travelled the whole world but mostly on business and have not been able to see much. Now I'm annoyed about that and long for such experiences which you report about. Michael
Finde ich super stark was du machst dass du solche Reisen auch finanzieren kannst. Ich bewundere Dich dafür. Ich habe die ganze Welt bereist aber meist beruflich und habe nicht viel sehen können. Jetzt ärgere ich mich da drüber und sehne mich nach solchen Erlebnissen wovon Du berichtest. Michael
