Patient came to clinic complains having a Bad breath (Halitosis) and bleeding of ...

... her gums while brushing. As you can see on the picture there were calculus / tartar formation which cannot easily removed by brushing, only Oral prophylaxis using scalers can removed this harden mass on the tooth.

Calculus if left untouched can lead to tooth decay (which may lead to tooth loss), Gingivitis (inflammation of the gums associated with bleeding of gums and Halitosis) and even Periodontitis.

This happens if you don't brush your teeth regularly and you don't visit your dentist every six months to have Oral prophylaxis.
