I was making research on flowers, then I stumbled on this plant that caught my attention named; Amaryllis belladonna. It belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and is a deciduous flowering plant native to the Western Cape region of South Africa.

I discovered it can also be termed the belladonna lily, Jersey lily, naked lady, or March lily. The mode of cultivation can be started from seeds or bulbs. It does well as a potted plant and thrives in rock gardens. It thrives well when it is planted in a sunny environment.

It can be easily recognized because the flower is concave in shape, resembling a small trumpet. It has the propensity of producing 12 showy flowers on a single stem, with blossoms ranging in shades from pale pink, white and dark shades of pink. After flowers have faded, deciduous leaves will grow on the stalk.
