The San Carlos de Borromeo Castle. Margarita Island, Venezuela. It is one of the oldest and best preserved buildings from the colonial era, it really is a fortress. It was built to protect the Pampatar bay from pirates. It was destroyed on many occasions by pirates and other enemies of the generals and rulers of the time. Being located in the Pampatar bay at the top of the castle you can see one of the most beautiful sunsets.

Spectacular photo of the castle of San Carlos de Borromeo in Pampatar Margarita Island, one of the most beautiful tourist gems of the Caribbean Sea, known for its beautiful beaches and tourist places par excellence. This island is highly visited by international and national tourism where hotels offer shows scheduled for Christmas, New Years, Easter and Carnival. To visit this island is to be in the paradise of nature surrounded by the sea. Greetings and stay home.
