Training the Younger Generations: Amateur Boxing and Discipline
Introduction
Greetings everyone and Happy new Year! After years of having an account in steem, I finally made it to my first post. By the way, I am Tonton, a.k.a @tonyoi23, a married man with 3 kids and living a normal life in the Philippines.
I was an amateur boxer way back in my teens but stopped due to work and married life, and for my health but amateur boxing is my first love and I just couldn't let go.
Despite the fact that I don't play on the ring anymore, I endulgwd myself on the sport by being the referee and the judge and the coaxh oftentimes, this way, I am still connected to the game and earn at the same time.
For this blog, I will share with you one of the wonderful events I attended. This was when the high school in my locality held an athletic meet and as a former student of the high school, one of the teachers reached out and made me their coach.
Here are the athletes I coached, one of them was my trainee since two years ago, and has developed his boxing skills very well.
It was more of a volumtary work, just free snacks and lunch due to the school's tight budget and a few pesos of pay after daily work, notuch ot cover my family's daily expenses but since I am happy with what I do, and I love what I do, I was content, thanks to my wife who is super supportive of my passion.
The kids has experience in amateur boxing and it was not hard in training them and we all had a great time.
Saludos.
El deporte siempre es una buena opción para la juventud. Hay que mantenerlos distraídos para que no piensen ni hagan cosas malas, necesitamos mas profesionales y deportistas.
Sports needs discipline and that's what's best in amateur boxing. I could say I am very disciplined as well as the kids that train.
