Humans are created with the ability to communicate, exchange ideas and share information with others and thus technology has been a generous tool for us to express ourselves.
The internet has a lot of advantages and also the disadvantages, but In this contest entry is all about how the internet has been my best ally. So keep reading to see what I think...
Just as it is, the internet is present in may peoples lives including mine. So I use ot for many things:
- To make research on the things I want to learn
- To go on social media
- To watch some videos
- To learn Spanish on my learning app

- I also use the internet to communicate with my friends on social media
- I think there are a lot more things I can do with the internet

I started using the internet since I was 17. Yes, that was when I got my phone and that was when I had access to the internet from my own personal phone. It was mainly because of knowing steemit that I was now permitted to use phone by the person I lived with, since he said that I wasn't ready for it. But im happy that today I can use the internet by myself. And There are many online apps I use in my phone.
Yes here at home we have the internet, and we pay to buy the services from the internet providers.
I often buy airtime and convert it to data to be able to access the internet.
Before I use to buy the one of monthly subscription which can last a little longer, but this days with less money I buy the one for daily and it cost me 200N (1.5 steem) a day and most times to write one post that amount of data is even consumed and I have to buy another one.

| Why do you think the internet can be harmful? |

Its true that the internet can help us in many ways, such as giving us valuable information, save us time, help us to express ourselves. But it can also consume much of our time, corrupt our morals if we are not careful, and as well misinform us.
Let us weigh the balance:
Internet Effects:
On Time...
Positive: No doubt the internet saves us a lot of time, and energy. It is possible for us to buy something even without leaving our home. It is possible to communicate with someone very far away without having to leave our home
Negative: If not careful, the internet can also take so much time from us. One can spend excessive amount of time playing interesting games online, watching movies chatting that the most important physical things are neglected.
On communication...
Positive: The internet has been a very effective way of communication. Its very easy for us to send text messages or emails to someone very far away from us. We can even communicate with them as if they were very close.
Negative: Information shared on the internet are not always true or morally good. So it can be harmful to believe most of them and even ti reshare it.
Also when we are si used to communicating online it may be easy to not want to engage much in physical conversations thereby neglecting the people that are really close to us.
On morality...
Positive: Its true that we can do our homework with the help of the internet or to do some research that can help us and that are good for us. The internet presents a very fast search method we can use.
Negative: Many internet social medias features such things as pornography or other immoral things, that can lead a person astray and to have loose morals.

Thanks to the internet, I have now made many friends especially on steemit with the people I know they are real. Im happy that the internet helped me to know steemit and to express myself in a natural way.
Also thanks to the internet im able to spend a bit of my leisure in a fun way. Thanks to the internet, my faraway brothers and friends are very close.
As it is said, whatever has an advantage will lso have a disadvantage and whatever that is done is excess is harmful. So we need to keep a balance on how we use the internet and make wise use of it to our benefits.
