MAÑANITA, FOR MY DAUGHTER's 6th BIRTHDAY
Good day steemians!
Yesterday is my daughter Matheena's birthday. And every kid's wish on their birthday that they blow a cake even if there is no luxurious food on the table. They just wanted to blow a cake. And so, my hubby requested to buy a cake for Matheena and I decided to give it to her at dawn. I decided to have a mañanita with her cousins.
By the way, MAÑANITA is a Filipino tradition wherein they will serenade a celebrant at dawn. They will wake up the celebrant through singing some songs.
Unfortunately, Matheena woke up very early. So, I felt so hard to do my part. Good thing, his daddy came home from work and I let him talk to Matheena while I will wake up her cousins and prepare the cake.
And when everything was set, we then went up and open the door of our room and start singing her a birthday song. She was surprise and very happy upon seing the cake that she have to blow.
Matheena is so happy and really appreciated what we did. Thanks to her little cousins for making it extra special. After the pictorial, we then had our hot milk and ate the cute cake and bread.
Every kids dream is so simple, and we parents should be always there to make it happen.
