THE DIARY GAME: 6-10-2024: AN ACT OF KINDESS TO MY BROTHER IN CHRIST IN HIS 60TH BIRTHDAY

Birthdays are a gift from the Creator, celebrate it with thanksgiving.

Today, June 10, is the 60th birthday of Brother Remegio Tirol, one of the elder in our church. He is one of the faithful servant of God who remains in the church even in bad times.

I have observed that he is not used to celebrate his birthday at their home. I only knew that it is his birthday when he was given a cake in our church. But today is Monday. His birthday falls on Monday, not in the church. We didn't met yesterday because we were having a revival activity to other place. I contacted his daughter through messenger about his birthday only to find out, they didn't celebrate it as usual as others do.

Because I was blessed yesterday, I received a cash gift from one of our pastors, I wanted to share it with him. I asked my husband about this and he agreed. We send our eldest daughter to my mother so I can go out for a while.

I went to a nearby mall to buy a cake to a famous cake shop,THE GOLDILOCKS. I bought the Mocha flavor because chocolate might increase his sugar level. It costs P 370.00 or 16 STEEM.

It is rectangular in shape because round cakes are chocolates and a bit expensive. But I choose this because of its flavor and surely he will like it.

The weather is cloudy and rainy but it will not hinder his celebration. Together with his family, we celebrate his birthday. We started by praying for our small program. Then we open a scripture for our Bible Study and luckily he had a visitor, a youth, and he listened in our gathering. Everybody give a short message for the celebrant and also the celebrant give his words. Before we eat together, we lay our hands to Bro. Remegio and we prayed for his life.

Since it was after lunch, 2:20pm, perfect for the snacks time. I also bought soda drink as a pair for our cake.

He said, if I was not there, it could only be a normal day. What makes it special, the presence of his family and the cake with a candle that symbolizes a birthday of someone. For me, I am not expecting any gratitude, but he showed it. As brethrens in Christ, I was convicted to present in his birthday and this is the essence of brotherhood.
