Greetings steem of the animal community, I'm so excited to be here in this community taking part in this special contest that remains me of my childhood days. Titled. “ My Favorite Fable"

What is your favorite fable, Give your reasons why?

While going I was a child I enjoy list to numerous fable stories from my mum and my grandfather, most especially my grandfather he tells a lot of stories that will make one fall asleep as quickly as possible. I also read a lot of fable stories as well, and all the stories I read, and listen to I learned from them.

Among all the fable I came across my favorite among them is the tortoises and the Hare, this is the story where the hare was laughing at the tortoise that he is very slow to the extent he asked if the tortoise ever gets to anywhere. The tortoise answered and said yes he gets to anywhere as fast as possible, but the hare was still mocking him, then the tortoise suggest that they go for a race with the hare in form of competition.

The hare laugh at him and agreed, The tortoise was very smart and wise he won the race and the hare was a shame for how he mocked the tortoise thinking he can not do it.

Did the fairy tale teach you anything, did it influence your life?

Sure it those, the fable thought me how to be patient in life and never to give up on myself, had it been the tortoise looked at his stature and decide to settle for less then he couldn't have win the race but he took up the challenge just to prove that his stature has nothing to do with what is in him.

I learned not to look down on people no matter how they are, one will never know what is in them. The hare looked down on the tortoises and yet he did not win the race and he was a shame even though he has long legs than a tortoise.

How many fables have you heard through them? Mention a few titles that are still in your memory.

Ooh, my God, I have heard numerous fables both from my mum, teachers at school, my grandfather, and some of my friends. Sometimes I go to the bookshop just to buy fables. I enjoy reading stories most especially the very educative ones. Among them are:

  • The tortoises and the hare
  • The tortoises and the big
  • The monkey and the lion
  • The talking tree
  • The Frog in the Shallow Well
All these fables are very good and educational, one will learn a lot from them. And I can say that I have learned while reading those fables.

For now when you have become the father or mother of your children, or if you are a sister and aunt, do you tell them the fables? Which Fables do you often tell and why?

Ooh yes, I usually tell my sister about those lovely fables I read, and some of the books that are still with me I give her so that she will also enjoy reading them just the way I did. But the fable which I always share with my sisters is my favorite fable which I shared above, about the tortoise and the hare, the fable is very educative and it makes one not to lose hope on anything.

One can only try and hope for the best just the way the tortoise did and he won the race. The life we are living today is a race, and once you play your cards well then everything will be good for you but if you look down on yourself then you will never achieve anything in life.

I invite @mjerry @bensam2040 and @ishayachris to come and participate in the contest.

Thank you...

Saludos amiga.
