Pets are domesticated animals raised for the purpose of entertainment, companionship. They mostly include dogs, cats, rabbits and others. When we look at most homes today you will find 3 out of 5 homes with a pet animal.

Back in the days I didn't like having animals around me but now I think I have a different view with my knowledge about animals. In my studies on animal breeding I have always loved rabbits and will love to keep one or more as my pet.
Rabbits are calm and loving animals so suiting for a human lifestyle. It is also a clean animal which anyone will love to have around. I have been having this urge to have a rabbit around to play and have company with.

Rabbits is one of those animals that requires a lot of attention with respect to the feeding and health care. One mistake can cause the life of tha animal. Having a rabbit I will provide the following to ensure proper growth and development of the animal

Animals like humans have special kind of food which the eat. Since I will be dealing with a one of two I will purchase formulated food from the veterinary shop. For young rabbit I will feed them with rabbit pellets and as they grow old I will give them formulated feed for adults. Along with their feed I will provide vegetables like lettuce, dandelion leaves, arugula, celery leaves, sweet potato leaves, rabbit ears, mint and parsley.

Fruits like carrots, apples, bananas, beetroot, berries, watermelon, cucumber, kiwi fruit, pears, plums, pineapple, pumpkin and other fruits edible by rabbits
Health Care
This is also an important and very critical aspect in rabbit keeping. With my little knowledge on rabbit health care I will seek the advice of a veterinarian before I administer drugs and vaccines to the animal at the appropriate time
Housing
A cake will be made for the rabbit to use for its resting time. This is also important as it will be expanded as the number of rabbits increase in the house.

Considering I will be a busy person I will ensure the following in order for the animals
• Providing feed and water every morning, afternoon and evening. Vegetables and fruits will be mostly given in the evening
• Clean the cages every morning
• Daily playing time and training in the morning after meals
• Dsily examination of rabbits to identify any abnormalities and intervene.
• Every Saturday and Sunday spend quality time with them and watch them move around the yard for 2-3 hours.
• Strictly follow prophylactic plan and administer all drugs, vaccines and vitamins.
Rabbits are one of the most cherished pet animals in the world as they play a great companion role with humans. Many people keep the for their meat (white flesh good for many people suffering from gout and rich in protein) but I will not just want to keep it for meat but for a pet. I love them so much and it is my dream to have a farm just for rabbits.
