Time flies and brings us to the last week of season 6 of the SEC contest. Today I greet again steemiand friends in the steem of animals community, as well as I try to participate in this week's challenge. The theme seems to me very expressive and interesting.
Honestly, I'm not an animal lover because of some events in my childhood that made me fearful of animals. I will tell you a little secret of why I am afraid of animals.
So when I was a kid, I was about 5 years old, while playing with my sister we were returning from the kiosk buying snacks, suddenly we met a black dog that stuck out its tongue, it looked at us and immediately ran after us. Suddenly, my sister and I ran as fast as we could while crying because we were afraid of being bitten by the dog. The dog was even more excited to chase us.
Fortunately, we arrived at the compound first and immediately closed the gate, so the dog could not enter. I was really scared at that time, my chest was beating fast and going straight to my parents was a bad experience for me.
In addition, when I was in elementary school, I also experienced the incident of being harassed by a goose duck. To this day, I still have trauma from both animals.
However, I still admire animals and enjoy watching their behaviour. I like to observe and watch animal behaviour by watching documentaries about wild animals that are amazing at surviving in nature.

As for interacting directly with animals, until now I have avoided it because I still feel uncomfortable. Like that time I visited an amusement park where there were unique animals, one of which was an iguana.
Taking pictures with iguanas
Many visitors dared to take pictures by holding the animal directly. But I didn't have the slightest fear of the animal, even when my two daughters wanted to hold and take pictures with the beautiful and calm iguana, I didn't let them because I was too worried.
Well...that's me with my timid side towards animals, I finally only dared to take a photo near the iguana, even then after being forced by my two daughters and for the sake of content I finally wanted to take a photo with the iguana that looked tame. After finishing the photo I immediately moved away and did not want to linger near the animal. Even though the vehicle had assured me that there was no problem that I should worry about. But I still felt uncomfortable.
All this time I have only observed animals from a distance, I only dare to face farm animals. heheh... That's my story about me and animals. Maybe for some people it sounds stranger and a little exaggerated. But that's the truth... Is there anyone like me?

It is amazing how in spite of past events you overcame fear to love animals through photography. Your boldness in capturing the iguanas beauty is a start in the correct way. But I personally afraid to standing close to iguanas. 😏

Awwwwch. I think I can really relate to your fear for animals especially dogs. Till date am not able to decipher when they are playing and when they are serious 🤣🤣🤣, it all looks the same to me and I’d rather prefer to mingle from afar and not be a lover. Sorry for your trauma. Just do the much you can and it’s truly understandable.

Hermosa iguana amiga, nunca las había visto de ese tamaño, yo tampoco me le acercara mucho, yo siempre he pensado que debemos tener mucho cuidado y precaución cuando vemos un animal, no todos son tan amigables así que hay que tomar medidas para acercarseles sin ponernos en riesgo, yo pienso que para acariciar o agarrar así a una animal hay que conocerlo y saber como son sus reacciones.
Te entiendo, no fue fácil ese episodio tuyo y de tu hermana con ese perro que casi las alcanza y les hace daño, la verdad que yo nunca les había tenido miedo, en mi casa siempre habían perros, mi papá amaba a los animales y como vivimos en un lugar amplio y en el campo llegamos a tener, vacas, caballos, perros, gatos, chivos, patos, tortugas y pare de contar jajaja, mi papá era muy amante de los animales y yo aprendí a relacionarme con ellos, pero después de adulta visitando a una amiga su perro me mordió, y desde ese entonces le tengo miedo a los perros y sólo me les acerco si los conozco, sino mantengo mi distancia.
