Life lessons from a “Stick Insect”My Macro-Photos |
---|
A cordial congratulatory hug for this anniversary friends of Animal Steem, I join this contest to share as a story, how beautiful an insect can be, especially a “Stick Insect”, I know that in each region they receive other names, It is an insect very similar to a dry twig.
Personally, it is one of my favorite insects and I have had several as pets throughout my life. Today I share with you a story that we can learn from being a “stick insect” and a macro photography session with close-ups of my friend.
Life lessons from a “Stick Insect”
In areas with abundant vegetation, there is a very peculiar insect, which is called the “Stick Insect”, since its body, legs, joints and antennae closely resemble dry branches.
At first glance, it may look like a branch of the same plant where it perches, and if you add to this its great ability to remain motionless, not only does it make it an expert in camouflage, it is also a master of survival.
Among his habits we find that he likes to expose himself to the sun that filters through the leaves, remaining motionless watching the other insects pass by him without noticing him, his slow movements make him seem very cautious, we could say that: he has an introverted personality.

Although it is not without danger, sometimes a hungry bird sneaks up on you. But the stick insect doesn't panic. He uses his ability to completely immobilize himself. It becomes just another branch of the plant, confusing the bird and most of the time it manages to escape unharmed.
The stick insect likes to explore its environment without being detected, it slides between the branches, looking for buds of new leaves or flower petals, carefully and stealthily, it approaches and eats a little without excessively damaging the plant.
The “stick insect”, although introverted, also enjoys the company of other insects of its species, it feels comfortable with them. Being introverted doesn't mean being alone.
What does a “stick insect” teach us? In my opinion the “stick insect” lives its happy life. He knows how to appreciate every moment, every experience and every encounter. He lives in harmony with nature, making the most of his abilities and enjoying the beauty that surrounds him.
See you soon

¡Holaaa amigo!🤗
