Steemit Engagement Challenge S11-W3 | What is your favorite fable

my favorite fable happens to be one that I heard a lot as a kid growing up. The one about the tortoise and the hare.
This fable was often used as a way to teach and inculcate the value of patience and resilience into the life of kids here in Nigeria and you would almost always find it in at least one textbook from grade 1 - grade 5.
Aside from hearing it once too much, it is also my favorite fairytale because it showcases the power of determination which i believe is crucial in the journey of life.
Did the fairy tale teach you anything, did it influence in your life?
The fairytale has taught me the valuable lesson that it's not always the swift that success favors and that if you put your mind to something and remain consistent and dedicated towards your goal of achieving it, you'd most likely be successful in doing so. Yesterday, I felt really down and sad due to some personal life issues and I was also bitter when I realized that I really wasn't making any headway in my journey here on steem. I would admit, I gave up hope yesterday and was about to do the same today when I stumbled upon this challenge.

Immediately, the fable of the tortoise and the hare came to mind and i felt like i would be a hypocrite to point that out as my favorite fable and give up on my consistency. So yes, this fable continues to influence me as it has today.
How many fables have you heard through them? Mention a few titles that are still in your memory.
I've heard numerous fables with a connection to my favorite throughout my life. Another one I believe preaches the same value is that of the ant and the grasshopper. I remember having to read a novel inspired by this fable titled "Go to the Ants" for my coursework in grade 9. This novel signified the importance of proper planning and hard work, it pointed out why it was important to save when you can and be consistent in doing so no matter what.
This also resonates with the current crypto conditions. There is no better time to grow your steem account than now when the markets are down.
For now when you have become the father or mother of your children, or if you are a sister and aunt, do you tell them the fables? Which Fables do you often tell and why?
Even now, as an older brother. I think I have bored my little sister by telling her such fables a lot so I know I would also do the same to my old children when I have them.
I remember when I noticed my sister developed an unhealthy habit of pranking everyone in the house and then I told her of the story of the boy who cried wolf and then told her "The day you're serious about these things, no one would pay attention to you". I noticed her unhealthy prank habits reduced then as she was still really young and believed what i say haha.
WHO IS DOPPLEY
His goal on steemit is to make numerous connections with people and put out valuable articles for the steem community to consume and interact with. Basically to be like water, which slips through fingers but is still capable of holding up a ship.
He juggles many interests, writer, saxophonist, accountant, data scientist, trader, real estate agent, and some others at once but his passion keeps him steady.
