Hello Steemians, how are you today? I hope you are as fine as I am. I am glad to be a partaker in this contest. All thanks to @shahariar1 and the Steem of Animals for organising this contest. Today I want to draw a FROG.

Frog
A frog is any member of a diverse and largely carnivorous group of short-bodied, tailless amphibians. It can also be described as a small animal that has smooth skin and lives in water and on land. It has long powerful back legs with which it jumps from place to place. It has no tail, and is usually greenish-brown in colour:

Facts about frogs

1. There are more than 6,000 species of frog
2. A group of frogs is called an army
3. Not all frogs are green.
4. A frog’s bulging eyes allow it to see in front, sides, and partially behind it
5. A frog can’t keep its eyes open when eating.
6. Each frog species has its special call. Males croak during mating season to attract a female. The louder he croaks, the more likely he is to attract a mate.
7. They have teeth! The small teeth on the roof of their mouths are not typically used to bite or chew; they keep the frog’s dinner from escaping before it’s had a chance to swallow it.
8. Frogs don’t drink water. These aquatic creatures absorb water through their skin.
9. Not all frogs can jump. While most long-legged species can jump a distance greater than 20 times their body length, those with shorter back legs can hop, crawl, or walk.

Economic Importance of Frog
Frogs are an important source of food for a variety of organisms, including birds, fish, and snakes. Loss of frogs may lead to a fundamental breakdown in a food web with cascading effects throughout an entire ecosystem.

Equipment for drawing

• White A4 paper
• pencil
• Colour
• Eraser
• Sharpener

Step 1

I started the drawing from the head of the frog through the back, down to the hind limbs and the forelimbs. I also draw the right eye.

I drew the log of the tree on which the frog is standing.

Step 3

I started colouring the frog at this stage. I coloured the hind limb and the fore lime green. Also, the part of the tree on which the frog is lying.

Step 4

I completed the use of green colour at this stage. I also coloured the log of the tree on which the frog is lying. I coloured it black

This is the final stage of the drawing. Here I colored
the lower part of the limbs with orange colour. I use an orange colour to colour the eye and a 12B pencil to colour the eyelid. I go around the frog again to correct areas where there is an error.
