"The protected animal in my country is the Asian elephant (Bangladesh)"

in Steem of Animals9 days ago

Assalamu Alaikum,
We are constantly doing injustice to other living beings which is beyond our human rights. We are attacking and killing the animals that we do not keep and the animals that live in the forest in various ways and destroying their habitats. Among the large animals in the world, the name of the elephant will come. Today I am going to write about the elephant, a protected animal in my country in the 11th week.

Animal population status (mention the name of the animal from which it came...)

Asian elephants are seen in Bangladesh and are very rare, which are currently endangered. Elephants come to Bangladesh from Myanmar and India. Most of the time, elephants are seen on a seasonal basis, which comes from neighboring countries. The main habitat of elephants in Bangladesh is the hilly areas of Chittagong, Sylhet, and Bandarban. Currently, the natural path of elephants has been blocked by the Rohingya refugee camp in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

What causes habitat and environmental changes that make this animal threatened with extinction or why this animal has become a common animal in that region or country.

Elephants are large animals and need deep forests for their habitat, but some self-interested people in Bangladesh are cutting down forests to make way for farmland, and various projects have been launched in the national forests of Bangladesh, which is destroying the natural habitat of elephants.

The food crisis of elephants is another major reason for the decline of elephants. We often see on social media or in newspapers that elephants have entered human habitats and ignorant people are killing elephants with electric shocks. Again, someone has set an elephant on fire with petrol, which hurts me as an animal husbandry person.

The demand for elephant tusks and other parts is very high, which is why some greedy people encourage people to kill elephants and then sell these elephant tusks and other parts. The number of elephants is decreasing due to the very low reproduction rate.

Legal Status and Legal Protection (Mention the law that protects animals. (Please explain to the best of your ability)

Even if there is a law, the law needs to be enforced, in my country (protected animals) killing and hunting or smuggling wild animals is a punishable offense. In Bangladesh, there is a provision for both imprisonment and fine for killing and hunting animals. Killing or capturing an elephant can result in a 3-year imprisonment or a fine of 3 lakh taka or both. We are treating animals unfairly which is destroying our animal diversity. We need to be aware of this. Especially in protected areas, due to the lack of sufficient animal-loving manpower, we are killing animals. Let's be humane towards animals and save the world Make it habitable for living beings.

I invite you @ulfatulrahmah @max-pro @memamun to participate in this competition.
