Protected animals in my country are saltwater crocodiles (Bangladesh)

Every creature created by God on earth has equal right to live and live in safety and security. Are we humans helping other animals to live naturally? If I did then there would be no need to write in this competition. Today I am going to write about the protected animals of my country (Bangladesh). I thank the @steem.ofanimals community for hosting such a series of contests and giving me the opportunity to write about protected animals.

Bangladesh is a small country where there were many animals in the past, many of which have become extinct and some animals are on the verge of extinction. Today I am going to talk about crocodiles. A crocodile is a large, cold-blooded, quadrupedal reptile. The number of saltwater crocodiles in Bangladesh has declined drastically. According to the information of the Bangladesh Crocodile Breeding Center, there are about 300 saltwater crocodiles in Bangladesh, of which about 200 are released in different canals of the Sundarbans. Crocodiles are more common in Africa and North America. I don't know the exact information about how it arrived in Bangladesh.

Crocodiles in Bangladesh are steadily declining due to human ferocity and greed. Crocodiles usually lay their eggs on land and when they hatch, the eggs are destroyed by other animals or humans before they hatch. Due to climate change, crocodile eggs are often destroyed, leaving no chance of hatching. On the other hand, some greedy fish hunters poison the water in various canals of Sundarbans to catch fish, meanwhile, many crocodiles die by eating the poisoned fish.

Many also hunt and sell crocodiles in various ways. Because of the demand for bags made of crocodile leather, many people hunt crocodiles illegally, as a result of which crocodiles are disappearing from Bangladesh.

Conserving, hunting, or buying and selling wildlife is a punishable offense under law, but due to lack of proper enforcement and monitoring of laws, a group of self-interested people are getting involved in crocodile hunting and buying and selling. Hunting or killing wild animals in Bangladesh can result in various terms of imprisonment and fines.

Although the number of natural crocodiles in Bangladesh has decreased, crocodiles are being farmed commercially in various places, which are being exported to foreign countries and the foreign exchange reserves are increasing. Your awareness can save animals from extinction. Where you see animal poaching inform the administration and make them understand that it is our duty to protect these animals to sustain the biodiversity.

I am inviting you @jyoti-thelight @memamun @amjadali00 to this contest "Preserved animals of my country".
