So Control is absolutely free for PC players until June 17 on Epic Games Store. All you have to do is to create a free account, download the store's application, and then order Remedy's great for 0.00 USD. After that, you just have to download and play the game.

About the game.

Jesse Faden's adventure takes place in a dark, fantasy world filled with some horror elements and it will surely glue you to the screen for hours. To stick to the 'no spoiler' rule, I won't talk more about the story or the other 2 DLC's. But the game is truly fascinating.

First of all, the studio behind this is Remedy, the guys who did the Max Payne and Alan Wake games and in my personal opinion, Control is the best of them. The first thing you will see that we got a female protagonist which is quite rare in video games. The second thing is that the graphics are really, really great. Remedy did a great job giving you all the graphic options because if your platform isn't strong enough you could still play with it.

For example I played with it on an Asus Vivobook s15 which is, absolutely not a gamer laptop but I still could manage to play at roughly 30FPS on fully low settings. And the graphics were still nice, at least for me. But if you have a powerhouse PC then the sky is the limit for the video settings menu.

The interactive elements of the map don't let the gameplay to be repetative. I mean, you have some dudes hanging in the air near to the ceilings and if you get closer they always say something to you. It is creepy enough to be interesting everytime you are near to them. And the other thing is that you can take huge advantage of your surroundings. It is a really creative way to keep things interesting. You have big enough maps to get lost a couple of times, story or side-quest bosses, colletctible and variable personal and weapon skills etc. Overall, the gameplay is so dynamic you won't even recognise that 3-4 hours just passed like this. And all this without mentoining the whole story of the game which is also unique enough so the next steps never can be guessed.

It has won several awards and sold really well, so if I haven't convince you about it's greatness, maybe the experts recognition will:

• It has won Critic's Choice Award at the Golden Joystick
• Nominated for Game of the Year at Titanium, NAVGTR Awards and at The Game Awards
• Won Best Art Direction at The Game Awards
• Won Great White Way Award for Best Acting in a Game at New York Game Awards
• And I could keep going with all the nominations and wins

• You liked the studios previous games (Max Payne, Alan Wake or Quantum Break)
• You like 3rd person shooting games with sci-fi or fantasy elements
• You enjoy dark atmospheres

This game is not for you if:

• You are scared of the barely horror elements or don't like dark atmospheres
• You aren't interested in the story of this imagined world
• You don't like fast combats

To get to the end, the last information about this game is that a recent update made avaiable a new EASY MODE (called Assist Mode) with weaker enemies and more saving points.
