Loop Hero - Game review
LOOP HERO MANY STRATEGIES THAT CAN GO ALL DIRECTIONS
Our character voluntarily wanders a road at the beginning of each game day, battling the monsters that appear on the road. Enemies drop items and, more importantly, cards. Cards can be placed to add boosts and debilitators to the map, produce new enemies and treasure chests, add improvements, and make other map-wide changes. These cards are being withdrawn from a deck that players can rebuild at their base, so there are a lot of strategies waiting for you to get into every aspect of Loop Hero.
A STORY SET IN A SHATTERED WORLD
In terms of story, loop hero follows the macers of a hero lost in a shattered world. The character is constantly wandering in an endless cycle. He's always trying to rebuild the world. As you progress through the game, side characters are added occasionally. While there aren't enough deep characters to look forward to with the next character, it can be enjoyable to listen to them.
A MODERN AESTHETIC USING PSYCHOLOGICAL ART
Loop hero manages to evoke a sense of nostalgia with pixel art. The changing appearance of the cycle as you play more cards is quite satisfying. The simple appearance of heroes and enemies during the loop suddenly becomes very detailed during battle, making it even more enjoyable to watch the battle.
RESULT:
Loop Hero manages to do something really interesting with its core mechanics. The navigation cycle game forces players to weigh the pros and cons of another work, the pros and cons of each card placement, and the pros and cons of different equipment. Players have a lot to consider, and developing the most suitable strategies for each cycle is fun and reflects tactical gameplay mechanics quite well.
Loop Hero is a truly one-of-a-kind game. Blending irregular elements with base construction and automatic combat feels like a combination that won't work, but Loop Hero brings it out in great style. It may not be for everyone, but I think the basic game is fun. It forces you to make important decisions and forces players to play over and over again for more. If you are a fan of rogue-like genre, a unique game is waiting for you.
