RE: SEC17 WK:#5: caring for aged and dependent relatives in the family

Your grandparents look lovely, both are handsome and your grandfather was smart enough to only listen to himself. It's admirable he thought ahead and did not leave his wife empty handed behind.

Your grandmother sounds like a business woman and letting family live with her does mean this brings extra respinsibilities and costs. I hope this is worth it and they all work tjeir arses off to please her and make her life easier. Will they or are staying staying close for the inherence?

Being a landlord is a job, can be hard especially if people refuse or can't afford the rent. Being female and especially an elderly can also work against her.

To me she isn't selfish. She and her husband worked hard to achieve this and it is her legal right to finally enjoy.

Her children are adults, raised well and their children are not her first responsibility.

If it comes to life we all have to learn how to deal with hardships, to find our way, stand on own feet and make our own dreams and wishes come true.

You are a good example of that and I hope you will meet your grandmother soon.

Unlike you my children never had grandparents, aunts or uncles. My eldest is the only one with a memory of a grandfather and this is a bad one.

I did had an elderly friend who've been like a grandmother to the eldest children till she died of kidney failure.

Good luck with the contest and all you do.
