Food Challenge Contest Week # 98 : For the Kids parents || How to prepare Vegetable Soup

INTRODUCTION

Hi steemkids&parents, Do u know the famous Vegetable soup? ** And do you know how it is prepared?, well for those of you that know this soup, kudos. For those that are just hearing it for the first time, Vegetable soup, just as the name implies it is a soup made primarily with/from vegetable, but today the vegetable I will be using is "Pumpkin leave**".

Ingredients Required

  • Water leaf.
  • Vegetable leaves.
  • Stock (meats, periwinkle, cowskin etc)
  • Palm oil.
  • Crayfish.
  • Water.
STEPS INVOLVED

Firstly, we wash all the washables and cut your leaves as well, I always advise we prepare our ingredients for whatever we want to cook first, because this aids you to cook faster, and avoid forgetting to add something.

Go ahead and season your stock (meat, cowskin etc). Sometimes people like to do this in a different pot, but I prefer its same pot you want to use for cooking. Because this makes your cooking less stressful.

Step 3:

After some time, check to confirm that your stocks have seasoned well, then go in with a cup of water, let it just cover the meat small, because normally when cooking Vegetable soup, it Should be think, and have little or no water in it. Let it boil for another 5 minutes, then go it with the water leaf and add palm oil to it, then allow this to boil.

Step 4:

After you water leaf has cooked for over 10 minutes, go In with the crayfish, Maggi, fresh pepper and any other stuff that you may need to prepare your meal. Let it heat for 5 minutes, then add your Vegetable(pumpkin leave) to it.

It is not advisable to cook your vegetable for a long time, as you still need it fresh, so after 5 minutes, your bring down your meal. And you serves it with Eba(moulded garri) Or fufu, anyone that suits your taste

My dear friend,
This is my best soup. It's filled with nutrients. Cooking the vegetable for long would actually reduce the nutrients. And I believe it is tasty as it looks.
