INTRODUCTION

Hello friends, and fellow lovers of kids, how are you all, I hope you are doing well wherever you are. I decided to come through with this post to enlighten us more about vaccination and immunization because of its helth importance to us humans especially, kids.

I will approach this topic in the following subheadings;

MEANING OF VACCINATION OR IMUNIZATION

Vaccines are medications normally administared by injections to protect us from harmful killer diseases. They are prepared with weakest or dead cells of these bacteria in ways that they are not harmful to the body anymore, instead, they team up with our natural body soldiers to form a defence and fight these germs. Vaccines come in very simple forms and they are mostimes in forms of injections, there are some that are capsules and others can be spread on the nose. They are mostimes free or subsidized (government mostly sponsors the production and distribution)

When one is properly vacinated against a particular disease, its effect can last for years, or even a lifetime. In some countries, cards are issued to people to keep track of people that have been vaccinated and when next tgey should take another dose.
Below are definition of vaccine and immunization for a better understanding.

Vaccination:- a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.

Immunization:- the action of making a person or animal immune to infection, typically by inoculation.

WHO SHOULD BE VACCINATED OR IMMUNIZED?

Every one is supposed to be vaccines against all killer diseases, adaults and kids alike.

IMPORTANT OF VACCINATION

From the explanations given above, we must have known how important it for us to submit selfs and our kids for vaccination so as to be protected against these diseases.

• When you are vaccinated against any disease, the vaccine protects you from contacting the disease if there is an outback.
• Vaccination is cheaper than the cost of cure for any of these killer diseases.
• If most of the people living in a particular place or comunity are vacinated, at the event of an outback of a disease, the risk will be minimal.
• It protects one for a lifetime.

COMMON DISEASES YOU SHOULD VACCINATE AGAINST

Over the years there are lots of very dangerous killer diseases that have been on rampage against humanity and for whom vaccines have been developed. Below are some of them;

• Rabies
• Hepatitis B
• Cholera
• Measles
• Ebola virus
• Polio
• Yellow fever
• Meningitis etc.

CONCLUSION

For some dreaded diseases like Zika, malaria and HIV/AIDS, their vaccines are still at various stages of development and as such not popular or not in circulation yet.

Most vaccines like polio are almost compulsory in some countries for newly born babies to protect them from attack by these diseases which most times causes death of both adaults and kids.

Moreso, in recent times, the out breack of covid 19 and resultantly development of it's vaccine have generated lots of reactions from different quarters (political, religious, helth etc) but we are all encouraged to submit ourselves and kids for proper vaccination against this dreaded virus (covid-19).
