Introduction.

Hello Daddies, Mummies, Caregivers and fellow lovers of kids, how have you been, I hope this meets you well.

This post is aimed at explaining; what a balanced diet means, what it means to kids, roles of parents and caregivers.


A healthy diet can be said to be a Ballanced diet. This is a diet that contains all the basic food nutrients in appropriate proportions. These nutrients can be found in vegetables, nuts, grains, fish, eggs meat etc.

Ballanced Diet Defined.

A Ballanced Diet is a diet consisting of varieties of foods which provides adequate amounts of the nutrients necessary for good health.
"one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your baby is eat a balanced diet"link


For the purposes of this post, I am going to narrow my efforts to highlighting those things that should be fed to kids and how, to enhance their helth and growth (physically and mentally). I will also hint on the roles of parents and guardians. This is important because the things our children eat at infancy will affect their life in general later on in life.

Various Recommend Helthy Foods For Adaults.

These are some of the recommended foods for adaults.

  • Vegetables.
  • Fruits.
  • Foods that introduce less than 5 grams of salt to the body daily.
  • Food that will not introduce lots of sugar to the body.

Various Recommended Healthy Foods For Kids.

Granted, the healthy food that adults take are almost same as Childrens' but there are small details which I have written below.

  • After birth, kids should be breastfed exclusively till after six months.
  • After the first six months have elapsed, while other Helthy diets are added to the kids food (void of salt and sugar) the breastfeeding of the kid should continue till the next one year and six months, making it two years on the whole.
  • Then you can gradually introduce some of the Helthy adult foods like pap and milk.

Other Healthy Factors That Affects The Growth Of children and Their Diet

Environment:- The environment where kids are raised should be neat so that their food intake is also healthy.
The parents should also create a very comfortable atmosphere for the child around the dining, to help this child's confidence around the table. The parents should also try as much as possible to make their kids find these foods appetising by making good comments about these healthy foods while they (the parents) eat them.

Choice Of Food:- There are some kids that are too choosy with the food they eat. For these kids and the rest, the parents are advised to work around the resources available to their disposal to offer these kids varieties of food, so that they can easily make choices and be happy to eat what they like.

Number of times a child should eat:- The eating time table of; Breakfast, lunch and dinner should not be forced on kids. A child should eat at least six time a day. This means that parents should be very observant to know when their children are hungry or thirsty or full so as to attend to their needs promptly.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, parents are advised to avoid feeding their children with lots of fatty foods nor foods that contains lots of calories. This will help rediuce the chances of these children been obesed.
