DIARY GAME|| Training and My First Time To Be Deployed To The Field 22nd-27th July 2024
Hello My fellow steemian @steemkidss ,today I'll be sharing to you guys my diary from 22nd of july to 27th of July, how my week actually went.
My diary activities is based on Lassa Fever KAP survey training and my first deployment to the field as a Red Cross Volunteer. A week before last week a message was dropped on our divisional group Oshimili north division Delta state, that 10 person will be selected for a survey which seems to be the Lassa Fever KAP survey . So luckily I was selected among the personnel.
So we were asked to assembled at the Nigeria Red Cross,Delta state branch office on 22nd July for training before deploying us to the field for KAP survey . On Monday morning which was 22nd July ,I woke up very early in the morning and give thanks to God for his protections and mercies. After I was done giving thanks to God I prepared myself so that I can reach the office for the training on before the time that was scheduled for the training.
As I finished preparing myself for the training I went straight to the branch office and the training was to commenced on 9am in the morning and luckily my fellow RCV (Red Cross Volunteer)started arriving on before the time that was fixed ,as all the personnel that was to attend the meeting arrived the meeting started.

Though before the training started, a file and writing materials was shared to all the trainee in case if there's anything we want to write down.
The training was just particular about how to approach casualties, the kind of manner and tone we'll use as a Red Cross Volunteer to approach people in the society , mostly a casualty , so that he or she wont feel bad.
As the training was on going we were also taught how to access the KAP survey questions on our phone with the use of any browser,to enables us get use to it, the questions on the Survey page was answered by each trainee who participated on the training
After we were done going through with the questions on the Survey page ,it was then time for break and we all observed the break period, and our lunch was sponsored by the branch office
After the Brea there was nothing left to do again and we all went home to be prepared for the next day at the field an the training was a bit fun but tension was all over cause that was my first time to be deploy to the field
As I reached the home that day about 5pm,I went to the kitchen to warm the remaining rice in the pot so that I'll eat for dinner and after that I was done with that I went to the bathroom to refresh myself and later come back to eat the food i warmed.so after I was done with that i went through my phone and and slept off
MY DEPLOYMENT TO THE FIELD
Being a newbie, I was wondering how it going to be sha but i was determined to get over the feeling, so during that morning I pray to God as usual for his protection and his grace upon me . After that I went to take my bath and rush to the branch office so that I won't be late. As reached few of my colleagues where there and we waited for the other of our colleagues to join us so that it will be more easier on us.
So some minutes later all my colleagues arrived and people who knew where we were going lead thc road, though we shattered keke to our destination and the journey was a bit far and the location was IBUSA under OSHIMILI NORTH LGA DELTA STATE

CONCLUSION
It's fun being a Red Cross member cause you'll get to explore more and you'll also get to let people know an healthy way of life on how to live and being a Red Cross volunteer our aim is to prevent health conditions from getting worse and we don't give treat or give prescriptions.
So that's why we're always making sure that we let people in the society to be conscious and how to prevent themselves from some common diseases around them.
